W. Thomas Smith, Jr., Military Analyst

W. Thomas Smith Jr. – a columnist, author, military analyst, and war correspondent whose work has appeared in USA TODAY, U.S. News & World Report, CBS News, Business Week, The Washington Times, and many others -- will be providing frequent commentary and analysis to the US Report.

A former U.S. Marine rifle-squad leader, parachutist, and counterterrorism instructor who today serves as a field-grade officer in the S.C.
