Born in the city he calls the capital of the world, New York, Louis William Rose received an education that could only be obtained in that metropolis’ once great public school system. When asked what he does, he says that he is a poet, political philosopher, writer, and parliamentarian. After his election to Christianity in ‘75, Rose utilized his peculiar musical talents for the Lord, performing as a baritone soloist for most of the major denominations.
Rose resides in Jacksonville, Florida, with his wife Jamy, who is a Florida Master Naturalist at Tree Hill Nature Center. He has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of North Florida, graduating summa cum laude in 2004. Now pursuing a master’s degree in Philosophy and Ethics, he is involved in politics, widely as a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians, and more specifically as Chairman of the Rules Committee for the Duval County Republican Party.
Rose is a member of the Jacksonville Parliamentarians. The organization meets monthly for the purpose of teaching Robert’s Rules of Order to those individuals who wish to learn how to run meetings effectively, or to participate more actively in deliberative assemblies.
