Barons Brewing title and naming rights sponsor for Jacksonville Axemen rugby league team

BarronsBeer.jpgExciting news from Jacksonville Axemen coach Spinner Howland—“We have secured Barons Brewing from Australia as our Title and Naming Rights Sponsor for 2008. Barons Brewing also showed great support of the Australia day Challenge Game in January and have continued with this partnership with the Axemen.”

Spinner urges you to try Barons (I do too—the company was, as it says on the website, created by “a couple of mates who shared a passion for great beer.”)

Spinner says Barons’ Black Wattle is a favorite with the Axemen players at Fionn MacCools Irish Pub (team’s fav hangout and where after parties are held) and the Walkabout Café. It is also available at Shantytown (6th St, JAX) and JP Henleys (Marine S. St. Augustine.)

Want to serve this great brew at home? You can buy Barons at Broudy's Liquors, Total Wine and also at some ABC Liquor Stores and some Publix Supermarkets. Visit Barons Brewing on the Web. You can also sign up for a free newsletter.

Barons will be sold during all Axemen home games during the 2008 season. If you haven’t picked up your season tickets, now’s the time. Get them at the Jacksonville Axemen website.

Word is the Axemen will also have cheerleaders and the team has also picked up two new Aussies for next year. This will be an amazing season—it’s no secret I’m a fan of our AMNRL Rugby League team here in Jax. And I am deeply honored the coach featured my poem in honor of Memorial Day at the team’s website.

Stay informed and get all the news by visiting the Jacksonville Axemen website.
