Once the U.N. partition vote was taken, the Arabs were bent on destroying the Jewish settlements and began to attack them immediately. Assam Pasha, secretary-general of the Arab League, said on the radio, "This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre." [1947]

Media will see video of alleged ‘living breathing space alien’ in Denver on Friday, but there's more to the story

Media will allegedly see video of a “living breathing space alien” in Denver on Friday, according to The Rocky Mountain News. Jeff Peckman, who is lobbying for an initiative to create a commission to “prepare” citizens for close encounters of the who-knows-what kind, claims the video convinced him aliens (the extra-terrestrial kind) do exist. The video cannot be duplicated because a man named Stan Romanek is making a documentary and the alien clip will be included. Peckman told the paper the alien is about “4 feet tall.” And he blinks. One commenter at the newspaper website says this video has actually been shown before, on TV. Other comments alluded to things like those darned space aliens coming in to take our jobs. Anway, this is a synopsis of the story, and after sleuthing a little, I found a few more interesting items.

The story actually gets more interesting when you take a look at Romanek. The documentary maker apparently has no sophisticated mathematical training. But he writes complex equations. In his sleep. A couple of highly educated professors—one from MIT—have apparently vetted these equations. Romanek even wrote one on his window. Romanek’s website makes for an interesting read—check out the videos featuring those professors.

I admit I’m fascinated by anything to do with space. I don’t have sophisticated math training either, but I love to spend time on the NASA website and I like to read about astronomy. I am an obsessive night-sky gazer. That’s one reason I ran the story about the Mars expedition a week before national media even mentioned it.

I took a look at Romanek’s website, and it was worth it just to find the link to a film put together by a fellow named Tony Darnell, who apparently does have formal math training. The video below that shows the “most important image ever taken by the Hubble” is narrated by Darnell, and maybe it’s the Pink Floyd playing in the background, but the film delivers a solid impact about how insignificant we Earth types are when you consider the size of the universe. Plus the images are gorgeous. Darnell has his own website, and although there aren’t any alien videos, you’ll find a lot of content about space, physics and astronomy. There’s an article explaining cosmic microwave background radiation. I am not ashamed to confess I never thought about this because I had no idea it even existed.

Frankly, I wanted to share all this with you because I am absolutely tired of politics. In the last week, one presidential candidate annexed 7 more states to the US, another learned she might get ripped off for a bunch of delegates because of a couple primaries and yet another invited a group of potential running mates over for a weekend barbecue. Today we learn (yet another!) political figure has written a tell-all book about our sitting president. You knew that one would be a conservative. Liberals are a whole lot better at protecting potentially damaging information. If you don’t believe that statement, read a few books (I recommend author Seymour Hersh’s book 'The Dark Side of Camelot' for this one, an oldie but a goodie) about John F. Kennedy’s titillating secrets including missing logs of some very sexy visitors to the White House. Took us a quarter of a century to take the shine off Kennedy’s coin. I digress.

At any rate, I decided this extraterrestrial film debut was a whole lot more intriguing than most of our recent news. So stay tuned for media output from Denver on Friday, when journalists will allegedly see the first “living breathing space alien.” Peckman says the public will see the extraterrestrial creature a few months later once the documentary hits the market.

Psyoperator, thanks--this whole thing is really fascinating. I suppose some think it's outlandish, but frankly, I think we earth types tend to overemphasize our own import in the scheme of the universe!

To my readers: note the link and check out the petition!

best, KayDay
