Warming alarmists vow debate as Chicago Climate Exchange downsizes

Day/View of ocean from Mickler's Landing near Jacksonville, Fla.Global warming alarmists are an organized, well-funded ‘uni-speak’ bunch whose Climate-Gate scandal was widely underreported by government friendly media. The scandal was deflated when pro-warming academics cleared their fellows. But now those alarmists are gearing up to take their message to the people even as Chicago Business says the Chicago Climate Exchange “is scaling back.”
The downsizing of the CCE was brought to my attention by Warner Todd Huston’s article at Big Journalism.
The alarmist PR campaign was brought to my attention by Marc Morano at Climate Depot.
I’ve followed the global warming movement for years. The movement was funded with billions of dollars of government money taken from US taxpayers and also some private money. Once global warming research began to be seriously questioned, government agencies and many proponents began to use the term ‘climate change.’ Warmists call those who disagree with their consensus "deniers" or "skeptics." Nothing like open mindedness when it comes to scientific theory, right?
Climate change is a no-brainer. Convincing people there’s climate change is like convincing people there’s rain—both have existed since the beginning of known time.
It’s likely the new push by warmist enthusiasts is because the Republicans will soon be in the House. After the Cap and Trade bill (HR 2454) failed to go beyond the US House, warmists realized their biggest friends were Democrats. After all, President Barack Obama said on the campaign trail before his election that his plans would cause electricity rates to “necessarily” skyrocket.
Although the public tends to yawn when global warming is discussed, fact is policies to place carbon emissions under draconian limits will levy a severe hardship on all Americans, from those in low income neighborhoods to those who fly jets to Paris for dinner.
Caring for the environment has little to do with carbon emissions as long as realistic regulations are in place to ensure air quality.
Sadly much of the third world hates the US because they’ve been brainwashed into believing if their crops fail, if it’s too dry or too wet or if the goat goes lame, it’s the fault of the US because of global warming. Some third world leaders have joined Democrat politicians in promoting this belief because it’s always better to blame someone else than yourself for sorry leadership.
Countries like Venezuela see an opportunity to redistribute US wealth to other countries. Venezuela wants the US to pay a heavy price for our industrialization, reasoning that Venezuela has lots of forestland. All I can say is the US has far more forestland than Venezuela and I think we have enough forestland here to offset anything we emit under current regulations.
It's my personal opinion carbon offsets are about money rather than the environment.
Ironically Democrats led by Rep. Henry Waxman (Calif.) prohibited meaningful debate on global warming, blocking a British expert from testifying when hearings were held.
It’s even more ironic that Democrats passed an economy-busting healthcare bill on the grounds that healthcare is a right.
We might ask our president whether shelter and fuel aren’t rights as well and why the policy he and his party sought made both more expensive for Main Street.
As for the warmists declaring war on climate realists, Climate Depot’s Morano says, “Bring it on.”
