Democrats gone scared, push Ron Paul to help Obama
Friday, June 10, 2011 at 3:30PM I’m well aware of Democrats’ fondness for shenanigans in an election. I’ve studied histories and accounts of the election of John F. Kennedy. And we all remember the New Black Panthers’ strategy in Pennsylvania in 2008.
Now amid the hullabaloo over Rep. Anthony Weiner’s appendage, some Democrats have gone so scared they’ve decided to try to throw the GOP Primary.
On Facebook there’s a group page called Democrats for Ron Paul in GOP Primary 2012. There aren’t that many members—only 434 people have clicked ‘like.’ I am certain where there’s one group there’s another. Progressives are famous for group think—they’re a very easy voting bloc to manipulate for that reason.
On the Facebook page there are no administrative names. Whether this page is part of some organized effort or simply constructed by a terrified Obama fan I don’t know.
Here’s how the ‘Info’ page allegedly created by a “lifelong Democrat” explains it: “I support Barack Obama for President in 2012, just like I did in 2008. In light of the rising tide of the neo-conservative Tea Party movement and the losses by the Democratic Party in the midterm elections, however, I think it is important that progressives (while campaigning vigorously for President Obama to win the general election) do all we can to exclude the war-mongering, anti-gay, anti-civil liberty, Bush-era breed of Republicans from even having a remote chance…”
The page directs Democrats to vote for Rep. Ron Paul in the GOP Primary.
The organizer seems to forget Obama has started new wars, and you can bet your unemployment check there weren’t any weapons of mass destruction or threats to the U.S. from Libya or Yemen. During his first campaign, Obama said marriage was between a man and a woman and at some point he declared you could not mandate the purchase of health insurance. Obama hasn’t complained about the Patriot Act (renewed)—his Party could have more than likely stopped it.
The lootership triumvirate of Pelosi-Obama-Reid or POR has brought the US economy to a level lower than that wonderful bowl of a city we call New Orleans.
To compare Dr. Ron Paul to Obama is insanity at its finest. There is no comparison—for starters, Dr. Paul has an excellent understanding of and respect for the US Constitution.
Former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty has just released his video 'A Better Deal.' The video features a clip of former GE CEO Jack Welch praising Pawlenty's vision for America. [Screen snip/link to video at Tim Pawlenty Campaign]I noticed several GOP candidates gaining some serious momentum this week. Former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty got under Obama’s skin so much that the president’s campaign advisers attacked Team Pawlenty. That by the way was excellent news for the former governor who I suspect is fine-tuning his debate strategy as I write this column. Pawlenty’s Facebook numbers are rising and so is his brand. Former GE CEO Jack Welch praised Pawlenty's "vision for America."
Thing is, Dems only have the one candidate with a very clear track record. If I was a Dem, I’d view that as a pretty big problem right about now and I’d probably run scared as well.
Frankly I’m surprised there's not a Dem in the land who's started a write-in campaign for Clinton—either one of them in fact.

Larry Kudlow, host of CNBC's The Kudlow Report, likes what he's hearing from former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty. Kudlow wrote about Team Pawlenty at The Daily Caller:
"He also notes that by reigniting growth and a stronger jobs market that demand for government-spending assistance will come down while tax revenues will go up. In other words, we’ll never solve the spending-and-borrowing problem without a major increase in growth."
