Pelosi praises law breaker; Senate website proves it
Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 4:49PM President Barack Obama praised Rep. Nancy Pelosi recently, presumably for what she did as Speaker of the House after Democrats took over Congress in November, 2006.
Dem rule lasted in the House until 2010. Dem rule still reigns in the US Senate and of course the White House.
Those last two sentences explain why the country’s in a constant hissy fit.
Anyway, Pelosi is all happy because Obama made appointments to the National Labor Relations Board as well as to Democrats’ latest big government monster, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Of course we don’t need such a bureau. That’s why we have state consumer agencies and state attorneys general. Then again, Democrats may not be aware states actually have their own governments.
Today’s CFPB will become tomorrow’s bureaucratic octopus, injecting its nose into everyone’s business. Everywhere.
Some ambitious young government worker, MBA in hand, will grab a cushy job complete with outrageous benefits. He will grow its budget and power and eventually begin to govern us by fiat, just as the Environmental Protection Agency has. Anytime the government uses the word ‘protection’, you’d best hide your wallet and maybe even your body.
Anyway, Pelosi praised Obama for those appointments he made illegally. The Senate is very much in session. It says so right on the US Senate web page.
Obama did not make recess appointments. He made imperial appointments, just like he engaged in an imperial war in Libya and signed a sweeping healthcare bill with an unconstitutional mandate that trespasses on individual liberty that is our God-given right.
This isn’t the first time Pelosi praised someone for breaking the law. She did the same thing at a meeting attended by advocates and users of our open borders.
When he campaigned for president, Obama constantly reminded us he taught the US Constitution for 10 years. If I’d paid tuition for the constitutional law class he taught, I’d demand a refund.
