Ed. Note: The US Report will have a followup column on Sheriff Joe's conference on Friday, March 2.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County (Ariz.) will hold a press conference on Thursday in Phoenix to address findings of his Cold Case Posse’s investigation of President Barack Obama’s background. The conference will be held at 1 p.m. (Mountain Standard Time), 3 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
Arpaio told World Net Daily the findings “could be a shock.”
Both Democrat-allied media and conservative media have avoided the issue of Obama’s background although there are a number of legitimate questions that might be asked. If you compare the lack of vetting for Obama to a candidate like Texas Gov. Rick Perry, there’s obviously a drastic difference in the approach towards Republican candidates. National media even searched for a rock with long-ago graffiti on land Perry’s family leased.
Conversely, national media ignored the John Edwards scandal until The National Enquirer broke the story.
Papers and records from each of the colleges Obama attended as well as information from the upscale private school he is said to have attended in Hawaii have never been released. Passport(s), state senatorial calendars and other related records and complete medical records have never been released. The passport is of particular interest because of Obama’s trips as a young man to troubled areas in the world such as Pakistan.
Scant information exists about Obama’s college days. His campaign at one point in 2008 explained that by claiming Obama lived like a monk, putting his partying days behind him.
“[A] private investigation found that the Social Security number being used by Obama does not pass a check with E-Verify, the electronic system the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has created to verify whether or not someone is authorized to work legally in the country.”
As the sheriff undertook his investigation, Obama’s attorney general Eric Holder targeted Arpaio who is known for being tough on crime. Holder and Obama have disputed Arpaio’s approach to illegal aliens, with the current administration openly advocating for those individuals and changing policy to allow most to stay after apprehension, even some who have committed violent crimes.
WND said national media have clamored for press credentials. Whether those media will objectively report what they hear is another matter entirely.
The conference will be live-streamed by WND.
