From the grave, Breitbart vets ‘Baraka Obama’

This screen snip from a 1998 poster publicizing the play ‘The Love Song of Saul Alinksy’ shows Obama’s first name spelled as ‘Baraka.’ Obama participated in a panel discussion following the play performance in Chicago, a city most view as an icon of corruption.

There’s no doubt traditional media refused to vet Barack Obama when he was a junior senator running for the presidency. In 2008 most conservative media also refused to vet the candidate who rose so quickly in the power sphere of Democrat politics.

The US Report repeatedly pointed out Obama’s lack of real world experience, his mysterious background partially documented in his books and his foray into politics launched in the home of a notorious domestic terrorist turned activist-theorist in the field of public education.

Andrew Breitbart took up the charge few other conservative media attempted, and based on various reports, there is a lot of information to come.

Breitbart's decision was, to those of us accustomed to seeing conservative candidates grilled and chewed upon by traditional media, a heartening sign that someone at last would take a close look at the man who now controls (in every sense of the word) the most powerful country in the world.

Breitbart began his vetting before his sudden death. Now from beyond the grave Obama faces the vetting he should have faced in 2008 if media were watchdogs rather than lapdogs of the Left.

Breitbart began with The Vetting, Part I: Barack’s Love Song to Alinksy. The article details background that media avoided. After all, media played a vital role in electing Obama via resources like Journolist, the biggest media scandal in contemporary history you may have never heard about.

One interesting fact in Breitbart’s column is the spelling of Obama’s first name on a poster published in 1998 when Obama participated in a panel discussion of the play ‘The Love Song of Saul Alinsky.’  I feel an apology is owed T. S. Eliot when I read that title.

On the poster, Obama’s first name is spelled ‘Baraka.’ I have lost count of all our president’s names although I do remember Barry Soetero. That name alone contains a back story fit for a film.

I recall some reporter saying President Obama’s administration hasn’t had a scandal. That is a scandalous statement considering ‘Fast and Furious,’ the official government gun-running operation that certainly benefited some although none have been punished.

Here is a selection from a long list of other scandals media largely ignored:

>Former N.J. Gov. Jon Corzine was a big fundraiser for Obama. Corzine told a congressional committee in August, 2011, “I simply do not know where the money is…” The money Corzine referred to was more than $1 billion of his firm’s clients’ money.

>Major defense industry lobbyist PMA donated to a number of powerful Democrats, including Obama. PMA’s founder was arrested in August, 2010, on charges of making illegal campaign contributions and making false statements to a federal agency.

>The US Government Accountability Office determined in October, 2011, the Obama Administration’s Office of Science and Technology broke the law, namely the Antideficiency Act. Sounds dull until you learn the violation occurred over bilateral activities with the government of the People’s Republic of China.

>The Obama Administration was caught red-handed engaging in propaganda to drum up support for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the government’s takeover of the healthcare industry, otherwise known as ObamaCare. Obama hired a public relations agency to sell the plan to the public. The campaign was primarily aimed at “Hispanics, Blacks and women.” Government watchdog Judicial Watch obtained records about millions of taxpayer dollars spent on the propaganda. Here’s a sample statement from the P.R. agency to the US Dept. of Health and Human Services:

“A January 18, 2011, email from Ogilvy to HHS New Media Communications Director Julia Eisman notes with respect to a Spanish banner ad campaign, 'I realize we really can’t use the blond mom and child for this audience.'"

You could fill a book with scandals from this administration, including the policy of killing American citizens suspected of terrorism but executed without benefit of trial or counsel.

As Breitbart commenced his vetting, Maricopa Sheriff Joe Arpaio was doing the same. Arpaio built a fact-based case raising questions about Obama’s birth certificate and his Selective Service card. Traditional media and self-neutered conservative media ignored the findings although they are impressive.

Breitbart speaks from the grave. His message is worth our attention.
