Red State’s Erickson gets the SWAT treatment

Red State's Erick Erickson (Photo: The US Report/Kay B. Day)In a column on Friday, I referenced 911 hoax calls referred to as a SWAT—someone spoofs your phone number and claims a violent crime has occurred at your address.
I wrote about a prosecutor in Los Angeles who was the target of a SWAT. He awakened to a SWAT team and helicopter flying over his home after a caller claimed someone had been shot at the address.
Now Red State’s Erick Erickson has been SWATed.
Federal agencies should investigate these crimes before someone gets hurt. It’s possible all the SWAT calls are connected. One thing’s for sure—they target conservative media personalities.
Authorities should throw the book at the person making these SWAT calls. It's one thing to disagree about politics; it's another to endanger the lives of others, especially when children are involved.
If the targets were Leftist media personalities, do you think the US Dept. of Justice would be looking into this?

Frey and Stacy McCain have all been affected. I believe Erick's situation was blown out of proportion in order to garner publicity.
Sad state of affairs, but I don't think Erickson would really blow it out of proportion, to be honest. He doesn't need publicity--his platform is well established and stable.~~best, KBD
