RNC Rapid Response upends Obama's 'just fine' remarks

The Republican National Committee has issued a rapid response to a statement President Barack Obama made on Friday.

Obama said, “The private sector’s doing fine.”

Within minutes of that statement, Twitter lit up like a Christmas tree on steroids.

The RNC distributed a video responding to Obama. The statement accompanying the video said:

“His [Obama’s] comments demonstrate not only just how out of touch he is with the 23 million Americans who are struggling to find work but also that he has no understanding of what the problem is or how to fix it.”

The immediacy displayed by the RNC is a welcome contrast to 2008, at least for conservative, Libertarian and Republican media and supporters.

It's likely Gov. Mitt Romney appreciated the misstep by Obama as soon as the president uttered those words.
