Biden steals a Romney asset

_____________
We never know what Vice President Joe Biden will come up with—a BFD moment or insisting a man who’s in a wheelchair stand up.
The vice president came up with a comparison on Monday during a Seattle fundraiser. Basically, Biden tried to steal a Romney asset.
Biden told a brief story about now-deceased Boston mayor Kevin White.
During an appearance on TV in the 1970s, White promoted himself by saying, "Look, don't compare me to the Almighty, compare me to the alternative…"
Biden asked voters to do the same for him and President Barack Obama.
White was a perfect example of Democrat politics. Born into a political family, White modeled his administration on the Chicago political machine. A number of his flunkies and staff ended up being investigated, but the dirty stuff didn’t taint him. He was part of a generation of politicians who completely botched government policy in schools and communities because federal busing policy permanently decimated black and white working class neighborhoods.
Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) considered White his mentor.
Biden has to focus on bashing Republicans. His party doesn’t have a single success story that matters to Main Street.
Romney has the better case when it comes to comparisons to the alternative. We know how promises of hope and change worked out—thinner wallets on Main Street.
Meanwhile, Obama and Biden have continued the traditions that are part and parcel of Democrat history—class warfare, big government, more taxes and state capitalism. None of those have worked well for our nation. Abroad, our foreign policy is a disaster.
The alternative message makes a stronger case for former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney.
