Right gives nod to DNC with empty chair day

Photo: The US ReportFilm icon Clint Eastwood probably didn't realize what he would inspire when he gave his speech at the Republican National Convention in Tampa. Eastwood parlayed a skit using an empty chair representing President Barack Obama into an overall statement on a failed program for hope and change.
It didn't take the Right long to pick up on the chair motif, and bloggers decided to hold 'Empty Chair Day' on Labor Day. Sort of a nod to the Democrats' national convention cranking up in Charlotte.
By now, if you spend any time on Twitter or Facebook, you've seen a variety of artistic approaches to the chair idea. Never have we had so much fun with a chair.
Sometimes politics can be fun.
