After Democrats attack Joe the Plumber, who's next? Wanda the Waitress.

If you ask me, Joe the Plumber should win the Pulitzer. He did the job mass media has steadfastly refused to do. He actually had the nerve to ask Sen. Barack Obama, who came into his neighborhood one afternoon when Joe was tossing the football with his kid, a tax question. What happened next? McCain mentioned Joe and the next thing you know, everybody from the Associated Press to ABC’s Diane Sawyer is grilling the guy. That’s what Joe got for exercising his freedom of speech rights. Wonder when media will get around to grilling the Democratic plants in the YouTube debate? But the main problem with mass media right now is a complete refusal to ask the Democratic Party hard questions. Rarely do they get asked any questions, and the truth is, if Democrats get that supermajority they're lusting after, Joe will pay, Wanda will pay and unless you're in the welfare income range, you will pay in one way or another.

Meanwhile, Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.), hosted a tax forum Oct. 9. The forum explored ways to close the $300 billion tax gap, a nice way of saying the difference in taxes people [theoretically] owe and what they actually report and pay. Among groups that will be targeted are contractors, tax preparers and waiters. Democrats are so fond of the ‘middle class.’ The Associated Press did the story very few mass media mentioned.

I wonder how much revenue the IRS could generate if an audit were done on every member of Congress? If congressional leaders are truly patriotic, wouldn’t they volunteer to be first? Ask Joe Biden.

You can read about the impact of a Democratic president under the control of a Democratic Congress at The Wall Street Journal. Read ‘em and weep. A Democrat never met a tax he didn’t like and if you think Obama will settle for those who make more than $250,000 a year to fund his socialistic income redistribution plan, you are sadly mistaken. In my opinion. Remember President Clinton’s promises about taxes?

Then remember how his taxes affected everyone, even the low or no-income earners because the price of gasoline and goods rose. Don’t expect to hear any of this from mass media. They’re in the tank for the Democratic Party in my opinion.

Obama’s plan is basically Clinton’s plan. You can vote for change all right, and that’s exactly what you’ll have left in your pocket if you’re lucky. Now they’ve attacked Joe the Plumber and Wanda the Waitress.

The tax codes are complicated enough that if the government wants you, they’ll get you. Your own door may be next. Just hope you’re as lucky as Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) who got a complete pass on the taxes he owes on unreported income. Almost as scary as Halloween—a completely inexperienced Democratic president at the mercy of Pelosi and Reid. Rangel's the guy in charge of your tax regulations. Trick or treat?
