Apologists for Letterman; Assailants for Levin

Mark Levin's 'Liberty and Tyranny' has been on bestseller lists for months, but the government-media complex refuses to give Levin ink or pixels.David Letterman made jokes about Gov. Sarah Palin’s 14 year old daughter having sex with a 33-year-old baseball player and the government-media complex gave him a pass. Author and talk show host Mark Levin blasts a caller who was getting on his nerves and GMC not only calls Levin names but takes the usual neolib stance of subjective outrage. It’s almost comical, the anger directed towards conservatives like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Levin, compared to the fawning adoration given pundits with lower market share and not a single more drop of intellect than their right-wing brethren.
Letterman’s entire routine is mindless conservative-bashing. I quit watching him a long time ago. Of course he’s an elitist with the typical neolib complex—a sincere belief in his own mental superiority and hero-worship for President Barack Obama’s administration and his Democratic kin in Congress. He only got to the top late night spot when Leno left. Sidenote: somebody put Craig Ferguson in Leno's spot so we'll have something to watch besides The History Channel as we work our way towards sleep.
And some enterprising comic should explore the potential in people like Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) You could have a field day with Sen. Robert Byrd (D-W. Va.).
Letterman slithered as close to dirt as a washed up comic can get with his remarks about Palin, quipping, "[D]uring the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez." He then, in character, tried to slither back under his CBS rock by claiming he was speaking about Palin’s 18 year old daughter. If his researchers are too sloppy to inform him which daughter is traveling with one of Letterman’s favorite targets, add inferior management skills to Letterman’s repertoire of shortcomings.
It doesn’t matter which daughter. If you’ve seen snapshots of Letterman’s family—he FINALLY married the mother of his child 5 years after the kid was born—there’s lots of room for snarking. But most of us leave families out of the political brew.
Meanwhile, becoming irate with an annoying caller, Mark Levin told her, “Well I don’t know why your husband doesn’t put a gun to his temple. Get the hell out of here.” All across the land, from self-proclaimed high brow magazines to tabloid Democratic blogs, a cry of indignation was heard.
Levin’s book ‘Liberty and Tyranny’ still commands the Number One spot at Amazon. There are more than 1,400 customer reviews posted at the online bookseller. But if you do a news search, you won’t see Levin’s work receive a single shard of praise from GMC. Instead, there’s a large amount of ad hominem attacking, probably because very few neolibs have actually read the book, much less understood it. The book is about the concept of individual freedom, not the neolib loving totalitarianism Utopian ideal aiming to put government in charge of your mortgage, your energy, your body.
A petty refusal to cover one of the hottest books in the US and mob-like adoration for a comic who makes jokes about a 33 year old man having sex with a 14 year old girl [commonly called statutory rape.] That’s the media government complex—apologists for Letterman and assailants for Levin.

levin is a shit brick
Well, if that's the best you can do I think we'll leave it at that. But name calling is rarely persuasive.
'Shit brick' is an intriguing insult. What exactly might that be?
