Biden says paying more taxes is ‘patriotic’, but he missed a basic budget tool

I’ve heard some strange remarks come out of Joe Biden’s mouth, like when he told the guy in the wheelchair to stand up and be recognized at an event. But Biden’s latest verbal wonder claims that paying taxes is the patriotic thing for wealthy Americans to do. Democratic strategist Bill Burton put it another way yesterday during a TV interview—“We’re making the right folks pay.” Here’s the problem, guys. You claim those who make $250,000 a year are wealthy. I don’t make that much, but I’m here to tell you if I did I surely wouldn’t consider myself wealthy. Comfortable, but not wealthy. What Biden and his tax-loving Democratic brethren are missing is a basic office tool.

A red pen can do wonders for the federal budget and you won't even need that tax increase. You can put this off for future generations or you can do it now. You cannot keep growing the federal government. Keep taxing top earners and redistribute income and you have created a socialist society. We’re halfway there already. The truly rich in this country are mostly in the entertainment, sports or political industries. In my opinion.

The Democratic Party is pushing class warfare, but they refuse to do anything about managing the money we already send to Washington and in some cases, they’re actually putting money in the freezer. They get sweetheart loans for their mortgages. Rampant fraud occurs in government health programs and they don’t do anything about it. Check out our recent post here about the money-tactics in our current congress. Biden and his running mate are promising change, but more taxes is the oldest ripoff line in political history.

Now greed is a basic human condition. But to tell an individual who is already footing the bill for most of the nation’s taxes and who is already paying a high rate that he needs to do more to be considered patriotic is quite possibly the stupidest comment ever to come out of a socialism-loving mouth.

To earn $250,000 a year requires working far more hours than most of us are willing to do. Most people want to close the office door after 8 hours and head home. Many owners of small businesses fall into that income range. If you’ve ever run a business, you know how hard it is and how demanding it is when the buck stops with you. If you haven’t run a business, then you can’t know that. And the truth is most politicians haven’t run a business except the business of improving their own personal wealth via my tax dollars and yours.

So my response to Biden is I’m a fine patriot. Let me know where I can send you a red pen and I’ll even suggest places you can cut the federal budget. Seems to me that repeatedly targeting an income group to grab more dollars for the federal money shredder goes against the constitutional tenet of equal rights for all. Any good lawyers out there eager to take on a civil rights case like that? Rephrase: any good Republican lawyers that might take on such a case?

Finally, I’d like to suggest Sen. Barack Obama, Biden and all the other tax vultures in Washington line up those Tinseltown favorites and those tech-savvy companies that love the Democratic Party so much. Permit them to donate extra millions for the federal programs you want. Frankly, I don’t think you’re going to have a very long donor line.
