Chris Matthews gets busted on 'regime'

by Kay B. Day

Update, April 20, 2010
Even a top Democrat is using the word 'regime.'

Original Post:

The left of late has taken to having fits over Rush Limbaugh using the term ‘regime’ to describe the current Democrat-controlled Congress and President Barack Obama. No one does indignation better than leftwingers who conveniently forget at least 50 percent of American history anytime they open their mouths about politics.

Chris Matthews—failed Primary candidate for the House of Representatives, speechwriter to Jimmy Carter, aid to top leftwinger House Speaker Tip O’Neill and one-time worker for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee—told his audience using a word like ‘regime’ to describe current Democrat powers “rejects our right to debate politics.”

When did the left ever really want to “debate” politics?

Anyway, Newsbusters did a little research and they got Eyeblast TV to come up with a telliing video. None other than Matthews can be heard using the term ‘regime’ and a number of his leftwing political brethren did the same. Dinosaur media didn’t get too anxious because the leftwingers were describing a Republican president, an example of typical leftwing propaganda.

What would really be refreshing and for the starry-eyed 20-somethings too young to remember the misery inflicted by Jimmy Carter’s regime, would be for Matthews and Democrat pundits like him to be honest about their political positions.

If you’re a Democrat, just come out and say so. Reporters who write for newspapers and the Associated Press should do the same. Context and all that.

And if the word ‘regime’ bothers, bear in mind politicians earn that word by their actions. This Democrat Congress opened the door for Americans to help fund the United Nation’s global tax and despite the fact we didn’t screw up the Hanging Gardens in Babylon, sent another $800,000 US tax dollars to Iraq to repair those gardens the natives screwed up. Right now, the UN appears to be dictating what we can say about people who want to blow us up.

Since taking Congress 3 years ago, Democrats have spent the country into a pit of debt and waged ongoing class welfare by convincing the poor that wealth is not a good thing. Democrats have back-doored a healthcare bill, gone into the car manufacturing business and taken over student loans. And then there’s the miserable squandering of government money on Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the so-called ‘Stimulus.’

If the shoe fits, wear it. Right now Matthews should be eating his shoe and admitting what a hypocrite he really is. Gold stars to Newsbusters and to Eyeblast TV.

And just so’s you know where I stand, I’m a fiscal conservative and a registered Republican. I ranted about government spending and taxes long before Obama took office.

Frankly I don’t see how anyone who doesn’t work for the government could vote for a Democrat, but then, I’m in the  non-entitlement class. Judging by what Democrat policy has done for the entitlement class, I think I'd rather starve.
