(Greater New Haven, Conn.)—WELI talk radio host Tom Scott asked Sen. Chris Dodd questions about sweetheart mortgage deals and his oversight as chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. The show’s producer Ryan Gorman apparently didn’t like the interrogation and the segment was never aired. Did I mention Tom Scott is a conservative?
It’s amazing to me that virtually no media have asked Chris Dodd or Rep. Barney Frank (D-N.Y.) hard questions about their lack of diligence to oversight. Dodd should have been disciplined for his mortgage deal in my opinion. Frank should have been relieved of his own committee assignment when Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac came to the U.S. taxpayer for another bailout; these two are sinkholes for the U.S. economy.
That media continues to run interference for Democrats is no surprise. This is just another in an endless line of examples. Tom Scott’s interview should have been aired on WELI; Dodd should answer tough questions and then he should step down from his committee position. And the show's producer Gorman should hang his head in shame for being too cowardly to allow the truth to be heard.
