Doc tells pro-Obamacare patients go ‘elsewhere’

Doctors have spoken for and against Obamacare, but a physician in Mt. Dora (Florida) has gone a step further. The Orlando Sentinel said, “A doctor who considers the national health-care overhaul to be bad medicine for the country posted a sign on his office door telling patients who voted for President Barack Obama to seek care 'elsewhere.'"

The Sentinel did point out that Dr. Jack Cassell would not turn a patient away, however.

Cassell, who opposes the Democrat-passed healthcare bill, printed out the Obamacare timeline posted on the House of Representatives Ways and Means website and handed it out. The timeline explains when and how Obamacare changes in HR 4878 and HR 3590 will affect you.

One woman whose daughter snapped a photo of the sign sent the picture to Florida Democrat congressman Alan Grayson, the man who called a former Clinton female staffer a “K-Street whore” and who grabbed media attention for his own sign implying Republicans want people to die. Grayson said he was “disgusted” by the doctor’s sign, but then again, Grayson makes a habit of being disgusted with Republicans in general. It must be pointed out that most conservatives are disgusted with Grayson; he's a lockstep leftwing Dem.

We wonder if Grayson read the bill most of his fellow Democrats did not read before signing.

The GOP timeline is very useful to those who would like to plan ahead as Obamacare is implemented, especially 20-somethings who will see premium increases.

The US Report joins 5,464 people who clicked on “Good for him” at the Sentinel’s opinion poll. Clicking on a preference that docs not share political views with patients were 1,037 readers.

Basically the doc is telling it like it is. TUSR believes there will probably be an increase in visas for foreign physicians who will work for less as Obamacare strains the system and the federal government attempts to manage one sixth of the US economy.

We suggest you do what most Democrats and the president failed to do—read the bill. You'll find quite a few surprises.  (Commentary by Kay B. Day)
