Global warming politics tarnish US image as Africa wants $67 billion per year

In the new report, 'Climate Money,' the Science and Public Policy Institute tracks the money, much of it from US taxpayers, funneled into global warming alarmism. Of course now the term 'climate change' is being used since flaws have been exposed in material pushed by financier Al Gore. When we were told an Ice Age was coming, it didn't arrive. Then we were told we'll be baked like flatbread and that didn't happen either. Finally, some smart propaganist had an inspiration and the term 'climate change' was applied. A more appropriate term would be 'climate scam.'During the 2008 elections, the tarnished US image was front and center, with statists blaming Republicans. But before a second Bush took office, America’s image was beginning to slide because of global warming propaganda. Financier Al Gore and cronies, including former president Bill Clinton, have pushed alarmist messaging to developing countries who blame richer nations for everything from drought to hurricanes. It’s astounding that with all the emphasis on evolution and considering there isn’t a single dinosaur left in the land, people believe what they’re told because it comes from a US politician.

Reuters says Africa now wants $67 billion a year in global warming funds. Reuters reported: “A study commissioned by the Geneva-based Global Humanitarian Forum that was released in May said poor nations bear more than nine-tenths of the human and economic burden of climate change.” More than a dozen of the most “at risk from warming” countries are in Africa. Since poor countries create less carbon emissions, they want compensation from industrialized nations.

Reuters makes no mention of deforestation, tribal warfare, radical Islamists or political upheaval. No mention is made of the fact that Africa receives billions and billions in foreign aid and despite an abundance of natural resources, simply has no leadership capable of creating peace and prosperity in various countries.

Global warming, for poor nations, is the best excuse in the world for the failed leadership of those nations.

Reuters mentions the alarmist position on global warming, but the study cited in the report comes from the Global Humanitarian Forum. Reuters didn’t mention the identity of one of the founders of that forum---oil-for-food scandal watchman Kofi Annan, former secretary general of the UN.

If you haven’t figured out there’s a global effort to redistribute your American wealth, you’d be smart to wise up because the party controlling Congress has sold out your best interests for political and financial gain.

Reuters does not mention the dissenting opinions of hundreds of experts who do not believe man-made emissions are a proven stimulus for climate change.

Great Britain by the way is already dealing with her first carbon tax fraud scheme to the tune of more than $60 million.

Peter Glover and Michael J. Economides shed light on Cap and Trade in the Aug. 3 issue of Human Events: “By the end of 2009, the US taxpayer will have subsidized the American global warming industry to the tune of $79 billion -- with trillions more to come. According to a new report, the figures reveal that the US Government has established a near-monopsony that is hugely distorting climate science in favor of 'self-serving alarmism.'”

Cap and Trade isn’t about the environment. Glover and Economides wrote: “Citing the World Bank, the report notes that turnover of carbon trading has doubled from $63 billion in 2007 to $126 billion in 2008. “Not surprisingly,” comments the report’s author, “banks are doing what banks should do: they’re following the promise of profits, and hence urging government to adopt carbon trading.” Bart Chilton of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission is quoted as predicting carbon trading will become a $2 trillion market and the “largest commodity market in the world”. Richard Sandor, chairman and CEO of Climate Exchange plc, predicts the market will eventually “total $10 trillion a year.”

The report, Climate Money, published by the Science and Public Policy Institute,

American citizens have the right to seek a redress of grievances for a government that does not represent our best interests and fails to promote the general welfare.

Ask yourself a question. Are statists in Congress setting us up for future terrorism attacks because of flawed science touted by political consensus? Politics put in play by money men like Gore and professional international panhandlers could pose a danger to the US.

Meanwhile the environmental extremist lobby has the US economy in a chokehold. Other nations see the advantage, manifested by strengthening economies in other industrialized countries and Africa’s latest money grab for $67 billion. The only thing warming up right now is global warming greed backed by a massive propaganda effort. [Commentary by Kay B. Day]
