Pelosi and fellow Dems bamboozle reporters; no comment on CIA

Pelosi briefed reporters May 22; we caught her trademark scowl with this screenshot.Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) took the podium on Friday for her weekly Washington briefing with reinforcements alongside her. Elbow to elbow the speaker stood with Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) and Xavier Becerra (Calif.); the quartet performed with the skill of Grammy winners. Pointing out that it’s been “a great 5 months,” Pelosi called Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) “a virtuoso” in crafting the climate change bill that will cost Americans thousands of dollars per household and impact every single move we make, from driving (or giving up) our cars to paying more for household energy and certainly paying more taxes. Anybody who calls Waxman a “virtuoso” ought to have her head examined.
The whole briefing was like the final day at summer camp when everyone gathers around the fire to bond. All that was missing was the campfire song and a carbon-emitting bonfire. Pelosi talked about going down “this path together” despite the fact her family’s disposable income and assets are astronomically higher than incomes of those the administration wants to increase taxes for. Hoyer acted as defender, saying, “We are very well led.” By the time Becerra and Van Hollen came to the podium, I almost expected them to crown Pelosi with an environmentally friendly tiara.
The speaker dodged questions on her scathing criticism of the CIA with a standard, “No comment.” Media ran like a kicked dog with his tail between his legs. One reporter had the nerve to ask her about insults she levied at the CIA—this was really what everybody wanted to ask. But the rest of the reporters backed off like whipped pups, something they’ve done with Democrats for as long as I can remember.
The Pelosi cartel pushed climate change, and she said when the UN secretary general Ban Ki moon was in town this week, he told her, “Seal the deal.” Since the Dems took Washington, it’s apparent the UN is now in charge of the United States.
On Thursday, Agence France Presse reported China will demand “rich nations cut greenhouse gas emissions by 40 percent from 1990 levels by 2020 in upcoming global climate change negotiations.” A country with one of the worst human rights records in the world is now telling us what to do. China says we're rich but media keeps saying we're in a Great Recession. Can the two come together in a bipartisan manner?
Pelosi and crew touted alternative energy for Americans without mentioning many who will benefit are not from America. Check out the list of some participants in the World Business Summit on Climate Change (of course it was held in Copenhagen). The website declared, “The future of your business is being decided.” Ban Ki moon headed that deal up too. These people are dictating our own future and that of our children.
The Dems also talked about healthcare, repeating that Americans will continue to have choices. If you believe the private sector can continue to compete with government run healthcare, especially once government further intrudes into the market, you need healthcare and I suggest seeing a shrink. Healthcare began to tank when the Clinton administration stuck its hands into the pockets of the taxpayer to fund government run healthcare.
It is my opinion the country has never been in worse hands. Pelosi and her political buddies can do all the cheerleading they want to. President George W. Bush has been a convenient whipping post, but fact is, the Democrats have controlled Congress for almost 3 years and they along with the Obama administration have set levels of spending higher than at any other time in American history. Pelosi’s home state of California is financially busted. Seems to me she’s doing her best to do the same to the country.
I’d suggest you tell friends and family not to rely on pomp media to inform them. Establishment reporters are sitting over there in the corner, tongues hanging out as though they’re salivating over a treat they’re afraid to even whimper for.
