The zany girls from MAV TV come to Florida to celebrate their new DVD release. Some women (ahem) like to watch MAV TV even though it's billed as 'TV created for men by men.'

Government spends more than $12 over private employers
When the US taxpayer is your angel investor, you can outspend the private sector by outrageous amounts for employees. The $12 is just for wages; benefits are 70 percent higher. Whatever happened to President Barack Obama's promise to go 'line by line' through the federal budget?

Rasmussen says only 34 percent believe US ‘headed in right direction’

It’s no secret voters are often ill-informed about the people they elect to office, and a new Rasmussen poll gives weight to that statement. A Rasmussen Reports poll found, “Thirty-four percent (34%) of likely voters believe the United States is moving in the right direction, down four points from a week ago and the lowest result found since early March.”

I can’t imagine a single likely informed voter approving where this country is headed at present unless he or she belongs to the political class. Here’s why:

•Democrats are desperate to find new ways to tax Americans. Among options they’ve considered: health care benefits taxes, a VAT tax that works like a national sales tax IN ADDITION to your income or payroll taxes, a new energy tax that will increase the cost of almost every single thing you need, touch, eat or drive every day, corporate cronyism (GE got bailout bucks), an apologist foreign policy (America=bad; Hugo Chavez in Venezuela=good), national security lapses and near complete paralysis over immigration. Those are just for starters.

•The US Constitution is increasingly ignored. This did not start with President Barack Obama but he and the Democrat-controlled Congress have taken it to a whole new level.

•The sovereignty of our nation is being undermined as Democrats push the American Clean Energy bill which will effectively redistribute American wealth to “developing” countries like India and China.

Little wonder Rasmussen found Obama’s rating is also at a new low.

A favorite YouTube clip is one we featured during the 2008 campaign. Howard Stern sent a reporter forth to ask voters questions. Watch the clip and you’ll get an idea about the way many voters make decisions. [Story continues below video.]

At the moment a leadership gap exists on the federal level. Our president’s inexperience hampers his ability to lead. He is also a prisoner of ideology because his actions and agenda suggest his hopes for America align with the European welfare state model. Congress is led by two left wing extremists, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) Neither of those politicos have America’s best interests at heart, evidenced by their enthusiasm for further eroding the lifestyles of working Americans.

That 34 percent believe the aforementioned developments to be the “right direction” reflects a complete lack of appreciation for a free market and a free people.
