Sebelius whips out race card and Philly columnist predicts race war (again)

White Governor Kathleen Sebelius (Kan.) stands with two black people and two white people at a ceremony. Did you notice the various complexions? What is it with Democrats? Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius tossed the race card at the audience at a campaign appearance on behalf of Sen. Barack Obama, asking, “Have any of you noticed that Barack Obama is part African-American?” Meanwhile, in Philadelphia, a columnist for a daily newspaper is again forecasting a race war if Obama doesn’t win. Scare tactics? Stooping to any level to ensure a vote for your candidate, using guilt and fear to corner votes where possible? Such tactics are dangerous because those same tactics encourage hate and fear-mongering in people of all colors. Strikes me Sebelius hasn’t noticed anything of note in the news lately, and there’s been plenty out there to dissuade me from voting for anyone who’d bring in 4 more years of Pelosi and Reid.

Has Sebelius noticed Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s complexion? Or Colin Powell’s? Or Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele’s? You’d think Americans had never seen a government official with a dark complexion, judging by Sebelius’s statement. Has she noticed that mainstream Americans work around people of all complexions in our daily pursuits? That we shop together and those of us who send our kids to public school (I realize most politicians do not) interact with parents of many complexions and cultures?

Has Sebelius noticed the tax cuts Obama guarantees will be benign will spell a tax increase for many who are self-employed? Or the complete disconnect with mainstream Americans some of us perceive in anyone who graduates from an Ivy League college?

Or one of Obama’s many first-term earmarks, carefully ignored even by conservative media, for a priest who resigned under highly questionable circumstances involving minors and the earmark involves an agency dealing in part with minors? Or the fact that Obama has highly questionable associations in his past that media also ignores? Or the fact that Tinseltown is once again pushing a candidate, and charging $28,000 to attend the event? Sound like everyday Americans to you? George Clooney took off to Switzerland to raise money for the Democratic candidate—could you afford to participate and would they even let you in if you could? I could go on and on.

Has Sebelius noticed those coal plants she fought so hard against might have delivered affordable energy not only to her own constituents but to those in other states? Has she (or anyone else in the nation’s capital, which I now dub with the name, “Scamalot”) noticed thousands of scientists disagree with Gorian dogma on climate change? Has she noticed the complete failure of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, headed by former Dem-wannabe president Chris Dodd, when you consider all the financial market messes? Has she noticed when everything started to tank coincides with the Democrats’ control of Congress?

Obama’s brand is synonymous with a do-nothing congress comprised of people of many complexions. Did you notice?
