Kurt Kelly, the man who wants to take Alan Grayson down

GOP contender Kurt Kelly (right) is working hard to win the GOP Primary in order to take on Democrat Alan Grayson for a US House seat in the November, 2010, elections. (Photo from Kelly for Congress Facebook page)If there’s one race in Florida that Republicans would love to win, that race would be in Florida District 8. Democrat Rep. Alan Grayson currently holds the seat—the notorious representative who called a former Clinton female adviser a “K Street whore.”

Grayson is alternatively known as the ‘Die Quickly Democrat’ for remarks he made about GOP negativity to Obamacare. Once Americans begin to see what this bill does to healthcare—key policy points will kick in over a period of years—we will fully understand how Democrats blew a real opportunity to deliver the reform they promised. Obamacare is no patient’s friend.

Grayson of course promoted Obamacare as you’d expect—he votes party line 98 percent of the time. There are a number of GOP contenders in the Aug. 24 primary. One of the strongest is Kurt Kelly who currently serves in the Florida legislature. Kelly agreed to an interview with The US Report by email.

Netroots Nation agenda a blueprint for conservative strategy

The Netroots Nation, arguably the most influential Web-based outreach group for Democrats, concluded their 2010 convention in Las Vegas on Sunday. Guest speakers included Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and President Barack Obama’s deposed ‘enviro-czar’ Van Jones. Reid took the opportunity to admit what most of us have known all along: Democrats will push for a public option in health insurance despite the fact government programs like Medicare and Medicaid are a fiscal disaster. Most believe cuts will be sought, and those cuts will come from Medicare.

Cutting Medicare is in line with leftwing approaches to the rationing some Obamacare proponents believe will be necessary. The US Report has talked to several people in the healthcare profession who endorse rationing in end-of-life care. Ironically those same individuals endorse providing taxpayer funded healthcare to adults who are not in the U.S. legally. The U.S. taxpayer already provides such healthcare to children of undocumented aliens.

Is Congressman Grayson taking talking points from Daily Kos?

By Kay B. Day

Like top Democrat influencer the Daily Kos founder, Rep. Alan Grayson attempts to demonize conservatives and Republicans. Just when you think Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) has managed to calm himself, he pops right back up again with an outrage that is probably designed for nothing more than getting attention. But his latest media moment tops his “K-Street whore” remark and even his claim Republicans want you to die.

Grayson once more wades into the Twilight Zone regarding conservatives. During an interview with Channel 9 TV (Central Fla.), Grayson asks the interviewer why you would want to put people in charge of government who don’t want to govern. “You wouldn’t expect to see al Qaeda members as pilots.”

Grayson critic strikes nerve with ‘My Congressman Is Nuts’

Commentary by Kay B. Day

Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla. 8) is doing what he does best again—hysterics. Grayson is the Democrat who’s always in the news for statements that come up at least one syllable short of logic, and his latest move to silence critic Angie Langley is no exception. Langley set up a site as parody to Grayson’s own site and her aim is to help raise money to defeat him.

Grayson, who may like many of his colleagues be completely unaware of the document we call the Bill of Rights, allegedly wrote a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder about Langley. Grayson wants Langley investigated and prosecuted. The Orlando Sentinel posted a copy of the letter allegedly sent by Grayson. It’s a typical Dem document, outlining a case against his critic by using those technicalities so many Dem lawyers love to use.

Just look at what those Dem lawyers have done for our national defense on behalf of people we perceive as terrorists. Ask a New Yorker if he or she is happy about trying self-confessed terrorists in civil courts. Who knows what the Party will come up with next?

Grayson has already distinguished himself (or ‘de-distinguished’ himself depending on your politics) by saying Republicans want you to die and for calling a former female Clinton adviser a ‘K Street whore.’ Nothing like a little hate speech to get things rolling.

Grayson is just another cog in the Chicago-dominated Party that has taken U.S. government to new levels of spending and intrusion. Party leaders Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Harry Reid (D-Nev.) have enlarged the government footprint to Sasquatch size by instituting new taxes, by desperately looking for ways to tax us even more, by pushing legislation that will tax the very air you exhale from your body and by hopelessly muddling the war on terror.

Consider comments from our Secretary of Homeland Security regarding the alleged would-be bomber on Flight 253. First the system worked, then it didn’t. We’re lucky there aren’t dead Americans as a result of feel-good policies designed to make terrorists happy. Maybe next time we anticipate a terror attack we can call the ACLU.

Grayson’s call for investigating someone for doing what political strategists have done for centuries is a ridiculous waste of time and an insult to anyone who believes in freedom of speech.

Grayson is another in a long line of Democrats that should be shown the door by voters.

Langley, on the other hand, should receive an award. In our opinion, calling Grayson 'nuts' is pretty kind considering the numerous derogatory terms we could apply to him.

Florida GOP women’s president pegs Grayson’s ‘whore’ remark as ‘vulgar’

Commentary by Kay B. Day

The donkey has never been viewed by those who grew up in rural areas as having a large amount of intelligence when compared to, say, even a pig.Cindy Graves, president of the Florida Federation of Republican Women, held nothing back when she responded to Rep. Alan Grayson’s (D-Fla.) remarks about a female identified as former Clinton adviser Linda Robertson. Robertson is now a senior Federal Reserve adviser. Grayson, talking to radio talk show host Alex Jones, called the woman a ‘K Street whore.’ Grayson's outburst and the aftermath is like one of those situation comedies repeatedly relying on the same premise for laughs but changing little about the characters or plots.

Grayson mimics Wilson’s fundraising success, but he lied about GOP plans

Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) has never been one to hold his tongue, and by now “politicateurs” know about his outburst after-hours on Wednesday. Grayson is one outraged neoliberal—he wanted the world to know exactly how low Republicans are on the morality scale. Republicans want you to die!

There is a “healthcare holocaust in America!”

Well, it sounds good on paper and Grayson’s testosterone will likely help him with all the unions who have skin in the insurance game, but Grayson mutilated the truth. If Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) were sitting here with me, he’d stare at Grayson and yell, “You lie!”
