CAIR-Michigan a defendant in lawsuit over event shutdown

David Horowitz who is Jewish had an exchange with this young woman when he gave a speech at the University of California-San Diego in 2010. The young woman said she was a member of the Muslim Students Association, and she invited Horowitz to Hitler Youth Week.(Screen snip from video)A new lawsuit has been filed after the Council on American-Islamic Relations-Michigan was allegedly involved with others in shutting down a public event that included the participation of Act! For America.

CAIR is a Muslim advocacy organization; AfA is a Western advocacy organization.

The Thomas More Law Center issued a statement on Friday about the suit naming CAIR-MI and its executive director, the city of Allegan (MI), the Allegan Police Dept. and the School District as defendants. The lawsuit alleges the accused committed both constitutional (civil rights) and contract violations.

The event titled ‘Constituting Michigan—Founding Principles Act,’ featured three speakers on January 26, 2012. Organizers had rented the auditorium at Allegan High School. The presentations also included information about the compatibility of Sharia and Western law.
