Grayson critic strikes nerve with ‘My Congressman Is Nuts’

Commentary by Kay B. Day

Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla. 8) is doing what he does best again—hysterics. Grayson is the Democrat who’s always in the news for statements that come up at least one syllable short of logic, and his latest move to silence critic Angie Langley is no exception. Langley set up a site as parody to Grayson’s own site and her aim is to help raise money to defeat him.

Grayson, who may like many of his colleagues be completely unaware of the document we call the Bill of Rights, allegedly wrote a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder about Langley. Grayson wants Langley investigated and prosecuted. The Orlando Sentinel posted a copy of the letter allegedly sent by Grayson. It’s a typical Dem document, outlining a case against his critic by using those technicalities so many Dem lawyers love to use.

Just look at what those Dem lawyers have done for our national defense on behalf of people we perceive as terrorists. Ask a New Yorker if he or she is happy about trying self-confessed terrorists in civil courts. Who knows what the Party will come up with next?

Grayson has already distinguished himself (or ‘de-distinguished’ himself depending on your politics) by saying Republicans want you to die and for calling a former female Clinton adviser a ‘K Street whore.’ Nothing like a little hate speech to get things rolling.

Grayson is just another cog in the Chicago-dominated Party that has taken U.S. government to new levels of spending and intrusion. Party leaders Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Harry Reid (D-Nev.) have enlarged the government footprint to Sasquatch size by instituting new taxes, by desperately looking for ways to tax us even more, by pushing legislation that will tax the very air you exhale from your body and by hopelessly muddling the war on terror.

Consider comments from our Secretary of Homeland Security regarding the alleged would-be bomber on Flight 253. First the system worked, then it didn’t. We’re lucky there aren’t dead Americans as a result of feel-good policies designed to make terrorists happy. Maybe next time we anticipate a terror attack we can call the ACLU.

Grayson’s call for investigating someone for doing what political strategists have done for centuries is a ridiculous waste of time and an insult to anyone who believes in freedom of speech.

Grayson is another in a long line of Democrats that should be shown the door by voters.

Langley, on the other hand, should receive an award. In our opinion, calling Grayson 'nuts' is pretty kind considering the numerous derogatory terms we could apply to him.
