Did Hezbollah, foreign agents and unions infiltrate the Republican Party?

Opinion by Kerry Patton

Photo: Used with permission.“Republicans are nothing more than Democrats in disguise,” a conservative friend told me recently. More and more conservatives are displeased with the Republican Party. Some believe the party has actually been infiltrated by not only left leaning persons but foreign influencers and Islamists as well.

It’s sad that in today’s political arena, a person cannot present sound critical questioning to their own party without being castrated. It appears that more and more self-proclaimed Republicans are playing a game of ad hominem attacks, just as Democrats do. If conservatives favor a two party system, it’s critical we fix a very broken Republican Party. The first step could be to begin vetting members appropriately. This requires asking critical questions and demanding answers.

Vets need more than your gratitude

After returning from war, I did a lot of research. That research was heavily related to Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD). I learned a lot.

During my time researching the effects of war, I learned about homeless veterans. I also learned about the spike in numbers for children of veterans needing outpatient psychological counseling. I also learned about substance abuse within the veteran population. And worse, I learned about the increase in suicides among our veterans.

“Happy Veteran’s Day” makes little sense to me. What is so happy about Veteran’s Day? Did you read the aforementioned? None of those things should make a person feel happy.

Debunking foreign-born rumors about Rear Admiral Charles M. Gaouette

Vessels from 5 different nations sail in parade formation. The group included the USS John C. Stennis, the USS Port Royal and the USS John F. Kennedy. (Image U.S. Navy ID 020418-N-1587C-030; via Wikipedia)By Kerry Patton

As the Presidential race comes to a close, some Americans are getting heated about conspiracies rather than the true problem at hand. That problem—America lacks true leadership to keep this great nation afloat.

One specific rumor is about a man who keeps an entire Navy fleet afloat.

Only a week or so ago, rumors went rampant about General Carter Ham being apprehended and fired from Africa Command (AFRICOM). This myth has been repeatedly proved untrue by multiple reports.

The most recent rumor, spread by activists and some international media, is about another tactician─Rear Admiral Charles M. Gaouette. The rumor revolves around his supposed actions serving as a co-conspirator with General Ham to overthrow the US government were President Obama to be re-elected.

In debate on Afghanistan war policy, Obama will lose

By Kerry Patton

Many Americans continue to scratch their heads when they hear about another casualty in the Afghanistan war.

Why are we still there? When will our troops come home? Was it worth the loss?

All these questions are worthy, especially when the 2,000th US soldier was killed this past Sunday.

The first presidential debate is just days away.  While many Americans have felt the blunt end of the economic stick, foreign policy won’t be addressed until the second debate October 16.

In Libya’s “Little Bighorn”, was Stevens supposed to be taken alive?

Commentary by Kerry Patton

Lt. Col. George A. Custer (U.S. Library of Congress, portrait)When  Lt. Col. George A. Custer moved his troops into a defensive fighting position in his iconic final battle, it was over. Custer knew the Battle of Little Bighorn would end with extremely close and intimate fighting and only a miracle would save him and his men.

Ambassador Chris Stevens needed a similar miracle that didn't arrive, and evidence exists today suggesting events preceding his death were similar in nature to what Americans call “Custer’s Last Stand.”

New evidence depicts one major difference between General Custer and Ambassador Chris Stevens—Stevens probably wasn’t supposed to be killed.  There are grounds to speculate that the ambassador was supposed to have been taken alive.

Most media ignore allegations about USAID and corruption at hospital in Afghanistan

Updated on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 2:26PM by Registered CommenterKay B. Day, Editor

By Kerry Patton

Allegations about a failed USAID project that cost $60 million and a hospital in Afghanistan that one retired colonel claimed had “Auschwitz-like conditions” might attract attention if a tight presidential race wasn’t in progress.

The allegations are so scandalous, however, media should not ignore them.
