Florida Republican women’s leader a finalist for national leadership award

Cindy Graves, president of the Florida Federation of Republican Women, is one of five finalists for the national Ronald Reagan Leadership Award. As president of the Florida Federation of Republican Women, Cindy Graves leads one of the most influential political organizations in the nation. For her hard work from her base in the nation’s fourth largest state, she’s been selected as one of only 5 finalists for the Ronald Reagan Leadership Award. The award is given every two years by the National Federation of Republican Women. Each recipient is recognized for extraordinary leadership and inspiration to her state and to the NFRW.

Cindy Graves, president of the Florida Federation of Republican Women, issued an official statement on Wednesday, calling for a statewide debate between the two frontrunners in the governor’s race. Graves said, “The members of the Florida Federation of Republican Women respectfully call upon our GOP candidates for Florida governor to work out the details necessary to hold a statewide televised debate for the benefit of the voters.”

At present both Democrat and Republican candidates for the Primary in the nation’s fourth largest state are locked in duels that at times make the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral look like a water pistol fight.

Florida GOP women’s president pegs Grayson’s ‘whore’ remark as ‘vulgar’

Commentary by Kay B. Day

The donkey has never been viewed by those who grew up in rural areas as having a large amount of intelligence when compared to, say, even a pig.Cindy Graves, president of the Florida Federation of Republican Women, held nothing back when she responded to Rep. Alan Grayson’s (D-Fla.) remarks about a female identified as former Clinton adviser Linda Robertson. Robertson is now a senior Federal Reserve adviser. Grayson, talking to radio talk show host Alex Jones, called the woman a ‘K Street whore.’ Grayson's outburst and the aftermath is like one of those situation comedies repeatedly relying on the same premise for laughs but changing little about the characters or plots.
