Does missing man in Casey's life hold justice for Caylee?

Snip from County Court website banner; state of Florida.I wish I could say the verdict in the trial of Casey Anthony surprised me. I anticipated the jury’s decision—I’m not an attorney, but I had misgivings about the charges.

I thought the state might have a hard time proving murder charges or aggravated child abuse or manslaughter. Of course, that all depends on a members of  the jury who determine what, in their minds, constitutes reasonable doubt. The burden is on the prosecutor.

The trial was a media circus; a fight even broke out among wannabe spectators in June.

There may be an avenue for justice for Caylee, however, and no one has considered it yet.

Does Democrat approach to identity politics hurt African-Americans?

By Kay B. Day

I had a long conversation this weekend with a young woman who is sharp and educated, but held firmly in place by Democrat politics. This is partly a result of history taught in public schools. As we chatted, it became apparent she believed some myths Democrats love to promote.

Reid’s remarks another example of Dem hypocrisy on race

Commentary by Kay B. Day

General Dwight D. Eisenhower stopping for noon mess by the roadside during an inspection tour in Tunisia, 1943. As president, Eisenhower laid the foundation for sweeping changes in civil rights. [U.S. Army photograph]Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is up front and center right now, with media reporting and analysts debating his questionable remarks about President Barack Obama during the 2008 campaign. Do remarks by Reid alluding to the president—“light-skinned” and “no Negro dialect” (unless Obama wanted to engage in it)—point to Democrat obsession with race?

GOP rebrands; CNN article inspires leftwing extremist rage

The GOP, alternatively called 'The Gallant Old Party' or the 'Grand Old Party,' is the party of Abraham Lincoln. According to historian Diane Alden,in the 26 major civil rights votes after 1933, a majority of Democrats opposed civil rights legislation in over 80 percent of the votes. By contrast, the Republican majority favored civil rights in over 96 percent of the votes. [Photo N. Illinois University] After receiving a press release about the National Council for a New America, I happened across an article about the NCNA’s conversations with the American people, with the first to be held in Arlington, Va., on Saturday at the popular restaurant Pie-tanza. The CNN article was benign, but quite a few comments weren’t. Here’s an example posted under the moniker, ‘Sonya’: “Hmmm, rebranding? How do you rebrand a bunch of self-centered, out-of-touch, dumb obstructionists? Personally, I'd be happy if they'd all drop out of sight forever and open the door for a new opposition party. We all know their faces and we're all sick and tired of them. Rove, Limbaugh, Cheney, Bush, Hannity and.FIX NEWS!!! The list goes on and on and THEY ALL MAKE ME SICK!”

If you read The US Report, you know how much I love politics and history. So especially for Sonya, I’d like to fill her in on a few matters wherein the Democratic Party rebranded at various times:
