Debt fight proves U.S. needs more conservatives in the Senate

Sen. Harry Reid is still preening for the cameras, with legacy media only too eager to promote  his obstruction of anything the Republican controlled US House of Representatives puts forth. Reid sounds like a broken record, telling House conservatives to “compromise.”

The last thing on Reid’s mind is compromise. He’s still having trouble getting over losing control of the House in November, 2010. Of course, what legacy media omits from every narrative is that this problem was created by Democrats—they set no budget for more than 800 days, they voted down President Barack Obama’s budget and they could’ve set whatever debt ceiling their spendthrift hearts desired.

After all, Democrats  had absolute control of the federal government from the moment they won Congress in November, 2006 until November 2010, and Obama has been in the White House for three years.

Reid fabricates a no-tax-in-my-plan story for Democrat friendly media.

Is CBO, like tea partiers, ‘extremist’?

Video: Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has been in Washington for nearly three decades. He has spent his entire career in the public service/government sector.

Tea party supporters and those they helped elect to Congress in 2010 have been vocal about US spending and US debt. Those supporters have been targets of hate speech from legacy media and numerous Democrats.

Ironically every government agency in charge of fiscal data and analysis supports tea party claims about the US government’s fiscal situation.

‘Terrorists’ want feds to cut spending, balance budget

Sen. Al Franken's placard omitted a necessary comma.Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) turned to drama to get his point across in the debt debate. On Wednesday, Franken brought visual aids to the floor for his speech.

One placard read, “Welcome [sic] Terrorists.” No one cared that technically, without the comma, the placard made little sense. Socialists and their fellow progressives were just happy to see another insult leveled at those in Congress who have read the writing on the fiscal wall and know something must be done.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Fla.), who also heads up the Democratic National Committee, can also be counted on for unrestrained language, otherwise known as shooting her mouth off.

Reagan the one Republican progressives love to cite—now

Speaker Boehner to President Obama: 'Not going to happen'

When Republicans gained control of the US House of Representatives in 2010, it became evident many of the incoming freshmen are fiscal conservatives. Shown here, Speaker John Boehner takes the gavel from former Speaker Nancy Pelosi. [Screen shot from CSPAN broadcast.]House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) responded to President Barack Obama’s debt ceiling speech on Monday night, and one thing became obvious. The president and conservative Republicans are engaged in a clash of political principles.

ObamaCare one of many drivers in US ‘exploding debt’

As the United States matured, borrowing became so complex it became a science unto itself. President Barack Obama wasted little time after taking office. The debt limit had to be raised again when Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was passed.

Once the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was back-doored by Democrats in the US Senate, the writing was on the wall.

How credible are ratings agencies in US debt game?

Video: During Congressional hearings, Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas) reminds Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner of his direct connection to the US fiscal crisis. Geithner was over the Federal Reserve Board of New York before he joined the Obama administration.

AS POLITICIANS MAKE CLAIMS to media about raising the debt ceiling and the need to cut spending, many of them quote various ratings agencies like a fiscal holy book.
