Amid furor over voter ID, RPOF statement reveals bombshell about DHS

Florida precinct parking lot on past voting day. Obviously, there is no deluge. Early vote days can easily be consolidated without impacting anyone, as Florida's voter reforms are implemented. (Photo: The US Report)As news of a judge’s decision about Florida’s voting reforms reached the Sunshine State, Republican women and the state party chair issued a rapid response.

Ironically, a statement from RPOF chair Lenny Curry contained a bombshell, and it puts President Barack Obama’s Dept. of Homeland Security in an even worse light.

With Secret Service scandals, where does the buck stop?

Historic street in Cartagena, Colombia. (Photo: CIA World Fact Book)The Sunday talk shows predictably simmered with discussions of the Secret Service scandal in Cartagena (Colombia). The Left downplays any responsibility for the president and some on the Right hold Obama accountable because after all, he’s the chief and he hasn’t been shy about claiming executive power when it suits him.

Fact is, Obama should look to his Dept. of Homeland Security secretary Janet Napolitano for accountability, because that’s the chain of command since the Service is part of DHS.

There’s more to this story than most pundits and politicians are admitting.

None other than Obama's DHS stereotyped the hoodie

Screen snip from Dept. of Homeland Security 'See Something, Say Something' public service announcement video.

Remember 'See Something, Say Something?'

President Barack Obama's Dept. of Homeland Security certainly stereotyped the hoodie.

People are talking about this particular garment because some believed it led neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman to make an assumption about Trayvon Martin. Martin was wearing a hoodie and Zimmerman thought him a suspicious presence in the neighorhood. The story, as we all know, ended in unspeakable tragedy.

Left of center pundit Geraldo Rivera dared to say something about the hoodie stereotype and he was promptly attacked by his fellow Leftists.

Obama and DHS chief Janet Napolitano appear to have a hoodie issue of their own. What's that all about? In one sense, Zimmerman was simply following DHS' advice.

DHS pays us another visit: Snoop/share program?

It’s not the first time the Department of Homeland Security has visited The US Report, and I am certain it won’t be the last if Democrats continue to run the nation.

I published an article today, for Examiner, about the DHS snooping program. Did you know some of the information DHS collected actually went astray? It happened during a “preparatory self-inspection,” but that gives little comfort.

Did DHS official leak information marked ‘For Official Use Only’?

Even more bizarre is the question of whether Texas Gov. Rick Perry was a smear target.

A breaking story at Pajamas Media by Patrick Poole recounts the tale of a “left-leaning media outlet” allegedly contacted by Mohamed Elibiary. Elibiary was appointed to the Dept. of Homeland Security Advisory Council by DHS chief Janet Napolitano.

Said media outlet alleged that Elibiary contacted them and provided intel reports from the Texas Dept. of Public Safety. The reports were marked ‘For Official Use Only.’

Obama’s White House visitor logs should now be made public

A US District Court judge has ruled that the administration of President Barack Obama must disclose records for the White House visitor logs. If the White House doesn’t want to disclose logs, the judge said the White House must “assert specific FOIA exemptions for all records it seeks to withhold.”
