Sen. Rand Paul: ‘Cruz has started a rebellion against coercion’

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) set a youthful, determined stance in comparison to the ageing GOP Old Guard. Still standing on the U.S. Senate floor after starting his not-a-filibuster speech on Tuesday, and still articulate and  energetic, Cruz fielded questions laden with remarks from fellow senators. He even brought up the Star Wars films, saying, “This is a fight to get the empire to listen to the people.”

It’s amazing. Sen. Ted Cruz is still talking on the Senate floor in his not-a-filibuster speech. Cruz even offered Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) an olive branch of sorts.
