Federal judge squelches First Amendment in anti-Christian ruling

Snip: American Freedom Law CenterThe city of Dearborn hosts a yearly ‘Arab’ festival and that makes sense. Dearborn has the largest Arab population compared to any other U.S. city and the city is also home to  the largest mosque in the U.S.—adherents are Shia Muslims.

Now a federal judge has squelched First Amendment rights for Christians in Dearborn.

Benghazi and IRS targeting conservatives is First Amendment ‘sideshow’ with Dem actors

President Barack Obama told the world the controversy over editing Benghazi talking points was “a sideshow.” Obama made the remarks during a joint presser with British Prime Minister David Cameron on Monday.

Our president, various officials, and media have failed to note that ‘sideshow’ relates to the First Amendment and he started the ball rolling. None have noted the story breaking about IRS has something in common with Benghazi: the spirit of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Lost in Benghazi arguments: Significance of Obama, Romney and the First Amendment

As leftwingers attempt to deflect criticism of the administration of President Barack Obama on the Benghazi meltdown, rightwingers are having a field day arguing that the deaths of 4 Americans were unnecessary and could have been prevented.

Image: The US ReportWhat’s missing from both sides is an acknowledgement that Obama and Sec. of State Hillary Clinton opted to dilute the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution as the Benghazi narrative emerged.

From the White House, hypocrisy on First Amendment and Piers Morgan

Alex Jones (Infowars) took on CNN's Piers Morgan on the subject of gun control. (Screen snip, video at InfoWars)Perpetual big government critic Alex Jones started a petition to have CNN talking head Piers Morgan deported. Morgan had made anti-gun statements after media manipulated the Connecticut shootings tragedy for political purposes. Morgan is from England.

The petition drew more than 100,000 signatures, according to media. That earned a response from the White House.

Here’s what President Barack Obama’s mouthpiece Jay Carney said:

“... In the meantime, it is worth remembering that the freedom of expression is a bedrock principle in our democracy."

If you wanted a textbook example of perfect hypocrisy, look no further.

Could the Obama administration send you to jail for insulting someone’s religion?

Photo: The US ReportAt this moment, a filmmaker who is allegedly a Coptic Christian sits in prison after an amateur video he made allegedly angered Muslims in other parts of the world. Technically, the filmmaker didn’t go to prison for the film. He was put there for alleged violation of his probation.

Had the U.S. Dept. of Justice not chosen that route, they could have opted for tax fraud, an easy route for politically driven assaults on opponents.

Could you go to jail for insulting someone's religion?

Obama’s giveaways not the problem—GOP failed opportunity for truth

Did President Barack Obama win reelection because of giveaways? Republican nominee Gov. Mitt Romney brought that up after losing.

It doesn’t matter whether Obama did or didn’t use giveaways. I personally believe Obama used every taxpayer resource available for his campaign when he could—from niche messaging on government websites to amnesty for a specific group of illegal aliens after Democrats broke their promise to reform immigration.

What was missing? How do you counter giveaways?

Benghazi shuffle: Five things Obama and his media won’t talk about

Map of Libya: U.S. Government funded by taxpayersWith Gen. David Petraeus basically falling on his sword for leaders who come up short on ethics, information about the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi continues to shuffle from bureaucrat to bureaucrat. The truth lies somewhere in the bowels of Washington, but Americans are unlikely to learn all the facts.

After all, President Barack Obama is famous for trampling transparency. As Reason magazine noted in the December print issue, Obama’s team in one year issued 466,872 FOIA denials—“an increase of 66 percent over Bush’s last year in office.”

Obama also fought the release of White House visitor logs—it’s none of your business whom the president lets in.
