Cornyn issues ‘fishy’ list, confirms ‘facts are stubborn things’

Sen. Cornyn met with Department of Homeland Security Secretary Napolitano in his Washington office to discuss comprehensive immigration reform. Napolitano has been criticized for an April assessment of rightwing extremism issued by the DHS. The assessment was so broad it essentially classified the entire conservative movement as right wing extremism.One Republican senator isn’t backing down from criticizing an information gathering action by The White House. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.) has even come up with his own “fishy” list in response to The White House blog call for emails if someone spots or hears something “fishy” about President Barack Obama and the Democrats’ health plans. I can’t really say legislation, because none of us have an idea what will be in the final bill.

This Congress has addressed healthcare reform with unsurpassed ineptitude in crafting the legislation. I’ve even wondered exactly who came up with the policy and procedure; it reads like a demand for union benefits in my opinion [freely expressed under rights protected by The US Constitution.] Open Congress has easy-to-access information and comments on HR 3200. The abysmal failure with healthcare reform is a refusal by administrations past and present, regardless of Party, to act on real reform. Instead, the approach appears to involve expanding the welfare base for a group of uninsured which, if truth is told, is far smaller if you simply assess American citizens.
