Wilson’s ‘You Lie’ accusation proves true, as predicted

In 2009 President Barack Obama told Americans his healthcare bll would not pay for illegal aliens' care. Rep. Joe Wilson said, "You lie." Wilson was right. (Photo from House of Representatives, US Government]Lately I’ve been saying I told you so more than I ever thought possible. Here’s another one. The US Dept. of Health and Human Services has announced more than $8 million in grants to provide medical care for migrant and seasonal farm workers.

What did HHS leave out of their release? Foreign nationals who are in the country illegally will also get free care because, just as I explained after reading the unconstitutional Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in 2009, I told you care would be given based on self-reportage.

So if I’m a drug dealer in the U.S. illegally, or a human trafficker, I can go for care for my aches and pains, and I will receive it. No one will ask me about my status.

As a government spokesman explained to CNS News: “[G]rant recipients will not check the immigration status of people seeking services.” Furthermore, the grant recipients are required to provide services to all residents in their area.

Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) was telling the truth when he said, “You lie,” during President Barack Obama’s speech in 2009.

Media, Bush and Obama on Mexico’s page; Perry defends US sovereignty

Updated on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 11:19AM by Registered CommenterKay B. Day, Editor

Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama joined media in undermining US law by elevating international law in bizarre cases of murderers and rapists like Humberto Leal. For the second time, Texas Gov. Rick Perry wasn’t buying it. Why Americans should thank Perry for rising above hysterics attributed to the Vienna Convention but in fact related to advocacy for abolishing the death penalty.

LEAL’S CASE—COMPLICATED YET SIMPLE

Humberto Leal's photograph posted on the state of Texas web pages, Death Row inmates.
As the execution date for convicted rapist and murderer Humberto Leal approached, US media memed the federal government and Mexico’s talking points. Reporters at every network, even those perceived as conservative, bandied about the lofty sounding term ‘Vienna Convention.’ Some warned the U.S. would risk lives if Texas Gov. Rick Perry didn’t halt the execution.

Why did Democrats fire on Gov. Scott for trying to stop identity theft?

Democrats in Florida have targeted Gov. Rick Scott in a desperate measure to help their Party regain absolute control of the federal government in 2012.

One item Party leftwingers and select advocacy groups are harping on relates to the Florida Legislature’s efforts on verifying the immigration status of some workers. Democrats can always count on media to back them up on such matters. The Tallahassee Democrat quoted an activist: "The lead story on Univision for over a month was the new epicenter of racism is Florida."

Fact is the issue had nothing to do with racism, and verification would protect both citizens and immigrants. Democrats ignore some facts on the matter; it is possible they are simply ignorant of the facts.

As Israel defies Obama, Newsmax takes on his other border issue

When Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the joint session of Congress on Tuesday, those who saw the broadcast were able to see a real statesman in action. That quality has been missing from top US leadership for quite some time. Netanyahu effectively turned aside President Barack Obama’s wish for Israel to return to the unviable 1967 borders, and the prime minister’s position is one most Americans understand. Israel could not sustain herself if a massive influx of people entered the country.

Obama appeared to be unconcerned about the impact of those potential refugees on Israel had his call for the 1967 borders been taken seriously by anyone outside leftwing policy wonk circles.

But Israel’s border issue isn’t the only one Obama failed to grasp, and that fact is glaringly obvious in the June, 2011, print issue of Newsmax.

IRS employee fraud on tax credits smaller than foreign national fraud

Making the rounds in the blogosphere on Tuesday is a story about IRS employees who allegedly defrauded the government by misusing the first-time homebuyer credit. The Washington Times said the US Treasury Dept.’s Inspector General identified 128 employees who “claimed the credit” although they were ineligible for it. These total fraudulent claims were valued at approximately $513 million.

Those claims are actually less, however, than fraud committed by foreign nationals on the child tax credit.
