Social Security’s Ponzi factor—Perry told the brutal truth

Gov. Rick Perry, state of Texas. (Photo state of Texas)As soon as I heard Gov. Rick Perry stand by his comparison of social security with a Ponzi scheme, his potential as a president rose in my estimation. Frankly, Perry is one of the only elected officials telling people the truth about Social Security.

The truth is actually right under our noses. Numerous reports can be found at the Social Security Administration by doing a simple online search.

Krauthammer, other pundits err on Boehner response to Obama

When I read Speaker John Boehner’s response to President Barack Obama’s request about addressing a joint session of Congress on Wednesday, I felt the speaker handled it appropriately. Rather than yielding to partisan politics or trying for a political hit on the president, Boehner justified his rejection by citing protocol.

Protocol, for progressives in Congress, is a foreign language.

At least it’s suspect if you consider the treatment President Barack Obama is getting right now.

Pundits overlooked ‘Senator Government’ in GOP Presidential debate

I don’t think there was a clear winner in the GOP Presidential Debate in New Hampshire on Monday evening. If I had to pick the most skilled debater, that would be former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich. If I had to pick the most passionate, that would be Rep. Ron Paul (Texas). Each candidate made gains simply because Americans learned more about candidates who don’t have the brand recognition of former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. I’m sure some media will declare winners.

History was made in that debate and the candidates presented a sharp, united rebuttal to the candidate who was not present—Senator Government.

After debate, Cain ‘third most popular search term on Google’

Now legacy media both conservative and left of center are taking note of Herman Cain. CBS News said, “Many pundits including Fox News contributor Frank Luntz and several focus groups have declared the former chairman and CEO of Godfather's Pizza the winner of the the first GOP debate, which was held yesterday. However, before last night, the average American may not have heard of the Tea Partier who prides himself on the fact that he has never held public office. Now currently the third most popular search term on Google, people are interested in hearing more of what he has to say.”
