Haley the latest target in federal war on Republican governors

Gov. Nikki Haley is the latest target in a federal war on Republican governors. (photo: The US Report)Is there a federal war on Republican governors? South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is the latest targeted by the U.S. Dept. of Justice.

The sole source for allegations that have spread like fleas on a barnyard dog is a South Carolina blog written by a guy who worked for the online news site of a Columbia TV station.

Leftwing targets Cain, Perry: Sex, lies and no videotape

As the video shows, Obama has often joked about his birth certificate as he did during the White House Correspondents' Dinner in 2010. Obama was received with raucous applause and enthusiasm by the press, most of whose members actively lobbied to get him elected.

A story brewing about Herman Cain and another story about Texas Gov. Rick Perry have nothing to do with each other except for the fact both stories continue a longstanding tradition by Democrat-allied media.

I keep telling conservatives we’re not only battling the leftwing, we’re battling a powerful media machine that has run interference for Democrats all my life.

Perry gets his game back during interview with Chris Wallace

Texas Gov. Rick Perry declared his candidacy in August, 2011, at the Red State Gathering in Charleston. (Photo by Kay B. Day)Texas Gov. Rick Perry sat down with Fox News’ Chris Wallace on Sunday, and the biggest takeaway is that Perry got his game back.

Perry was at ease, nonconfrontational and engaging. He resisted the bait to bash his fellow candidates, instead pointing to his own record.

Schieffer’s freakout over Cain ad typical of big media treatment of GOP candidates

Bob Schieffer interviewed GOP presidential frontrunner Herman Cain on Sunday morning, and even though nothing of substance emerged, salient points were made.

Schieffer, like numerous status quo Republicans, is having a difficult time wrapping his head around Cain’s current frontrunner status.

Obama’s November moment: What Perry supporters (and naysayers) can learn

Americans live by the bite—not just pizza but news. Most forget the making of recent history and that group includes reporters.

Today as I heard from a few supporters of Texas Governor Rick Perry, I thought of President Barack Obama’s campaign, specifically November, 2007, when I watched an interview with Obama. That time period roughly corresponds to the point the GOP contenders are at now.

With 80 percent of GOP voters undecided, opportunity at Perry’s door

The Perry campaign has a video explaining 'Cut, Balance and Grow.'

Media is pushing results of a CBS/NY Times poll on the GOP presidential candidates, but the big bottom line on that poll is that 80 percent of Republican Primary voters remain undecided.

Did DHS official leak information marked ‘For Official Use Only’?

Even more bizarre is the question of whether Texas Gov. Rick Perry was a smear target.

A breaking story at Pajamas Media by Patrick Poole recounts the tale of a “left-leaning media outlet” allegedly contacted by Mohamed Elibiary. Elibiary was appointed to the Dept. of Homeland Security Advisory Council by DHS chief Janet Napolitano.

Said media outlet alleged that Elibiary contacted them and provided intel reports from the Texas Dept. of Public Safety. The reports were marked ‘For Official Use Only.’

Perry and the bailouts

Notes on the Western Republican Debate

Texas Governor Rick Perry never served in the US Congress. During the Western Republican Debate in Las Vegas on Tuesday, however, Perry was accused of supporting the bailout package Democrats passed in 2008 as lame duck President George W. Bush concluded his second term.

Perry did not announce support for the legislation passed by the Senate under Democrats’ control.

Shades of Coulter's Christie obsession: My ongoing interest in Perry

First in a series of articles about Texas Governor Rick Perry

Texas Governor Rick Perry (screen snip from video, state of Texas)I think I know, sort of know, how Ann Coulter feels about New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Christie endorsed former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

Coulter’s so energized by Christie that she blurted out an endorsement for former Romney during a recent visit on Hannity on Fox. I almost fell out of my chair when she did that.
