Freakout over Not-Rick-Perry’s rock but yawn over White House rapper and NBPP?

How fast can you say skewed double standard?

I can’t believe the hoopla about a rock on some hunting turf Rick Perry’s family has rented for how many years?

Perry doesn’t even own the rock. If you think about it, he couldn’t have legally removed the rock. Someone in his family actually painted over what someone else painted on that rock long ago. But media has been obsessed with the N-word painted on the rock by a long ago somebody.

We have a media freakout over Not-Rick-Perry’s rock.

However, we barely heard a yawn over a controversial rapper who was invited to the White House by President Barack Obama. And we heard not even a sigh when some photos surfaced showing the president and New Black Panthers together at a public event.

Putting 2012 in perspective—ignore legacy media

I predicted a long bloody battle ahead of the General Election in 2012. That of course was a no-brainer. Democrats will not go silently into that good night and nor will their friends in big government allied media.

If you expect to get useful information about the GOP presidential candidates, look at their voting records (where applicable) and their accomplishments or failures. Read credible blogs. Look up bills and earmarks the candidate sponsored. Don’t use legacy media as a source.

Why?

Response to Facebook post about a supporter's concerns about Perry

I started writing this as a response to a Facebook post but I realized it was just too long for that social media.

My FB ‘friend’ wrote about Gov. Rick Perry’s debate skills which even the governor knows are not working. The FB post noted President Barack Obama’s debate talents.

I thought about this a lot.

I am totally flummoxed by Perry’s failure to take advantage of opportunity.

Finding the real Rick Perry on Social Security

At the Fox News-Google-Republican Party of Florida presidential debate, Texas Governor Rick  Perry and former Gov. Mitt Romney (Mass.) had another dustup about Social Security.

Using Perry’s book Fed Up as a reference, Romney fired at Perry with the usual allegations—government shouldn’t be in the pension business, [pensions] should be left to the states, Social Security is unconstitutional.

That characterization of what Perry said about Social Security in his book is not only seriously truncated, it misses the core argument Perry builds.

Well-timed tempest for Perry: Study on Texas jobs and impact of migrants

If you wanted to throw a curve ball at a candidate, the eve of a key debate is a great time to do it. Gov. Rick Perry just caught one right between the eyes, at least as far as media are concerned.

AttackWatch: Another marketing gift from Democrats to the opposition

Gov. Rick Perry is top of the list at AttackWatch.com. (Photo by Kay B. Day/The US Report)Democrats are the givers that keep on giving—to Republicans. The latest benefit for the Grand Old Party is the website AttackWatch.com. The slogan reads, Get the facts. Fight the smears. Rich black, red and white colors set an assertive background.

On Tuesday when I made my first visit, a photo of Texas Gov. Rick Perry was featured top of the fold. The header blared, “Rick Perry’s massive jobs lie.”

Apparently the Obama for America team didn’t appreciate Perry’s snarky remarks about Stimulus I. Perry had tossed an offhand comment about Stim I creating zero jobs.
