Robin Hood’s revenge: How Obama and Democrats helped Scott Walker win

Video from Scott Walker's campaign site. (Screen snip)There’s a message for President Barack Obama and the Democrats in Gov. Scott Walker’s recall win in Wisconsin on Tuesday. Obama and his party played an indirect role in Walker’s victory.

In fact, Robin Hood extracted revenge on Tuesday, although the thought probably hasn’t occurred to Dems or Republicans.

Walker got Dems' message, now you can send him yours

FreedomWorks has a user-friendly form online for supporters of Gov. Scott Walker to send him a congratulatory message. (Screen snip from FreedomWorks)Has a state race commanded so much attention as the Wisconsin recall race? Senate seats and the Lt. Governor position were in play, but the biggie will go down in the history books as Gov. Scott Walker’s trial by political fire.

The trial isn't over, of course. That was obvious when messages started rolling in from the Left.

Taxpayers without representation in public employee collective bargaining

As Wisconsinites head to the polls to return or remove Gov. Scott Walker from office, ads and messaging from Democrats attack the governor for limiting collective bargaining by some public employees. I’ve often said it’s understandable why cops and firefighters need representation. What I do not see as understandable is why the clerk at the tax office needs collective bargaining rights.

Have you ever held a government job? I’ve had two.

With DOJ in mix, will Democrats try to pull a Franken in Wisconsin?

New Black Panther Party members showed up, weapon in hand, at a Philadelphia precinct in 2008. The man in the foreground actually brandished the nightstick as a poll watcher asked questions. Obama’s Justice Dept. made little of the obvious case of voter intimidation, an action based purely on racial tenets. (Photo: Screen snip, YouTube)All eyes are on Wisconsin as voters in that state head to the polls to pick candidates in an election centered on the recall of Gov. Scott Walker. Walker hadn’t even served a year before partisan Dems aided by out-of-state interests began to push the recall.

Now the Dept. of Justice is beating political war drums, declaring in a public announcement that DOJ will monitor elections in some counties.

That begs questions.  Who will monitor DOJ? Will Democrats try to pull a Franken after Tuesday’s votes are tallied?

Gov. Walker will face two time gubernatorial loser Barrett in recall race

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (right) with his family. (Photo: Walker Campaign)Milwaukee mayor Tom Barrett may hope the third time is the charm. Barrett has already failed in two races for Wisconsin governor. Now he’ll face the same GOP candidate he faced in 2010, current Gov. Scott Walker.

Barrett also lost a primary bid for governor against a fellow Democrat in 2002.

Barrett won the Democrat primary on Tuesday with a lot of help from his stronghold in Milwaukee.

Walker has been under fire since he attempted to do something about the budget shortfall he “inherited” as Dems are wont to say, from a two-term Democrat. MSNBC online news cited an “immediate budget shortfall of $137 million, projected to grow to $3.6 billion by mid-2013.”

Haley the latest target in federal war on Republican governors

Gov. Nikki Haley is the latest target in a federal war on Republican governors. (photo: The US Report)Is there a federal war on Republican governors? South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is the latest targeted by the U.S. Dept. of Justice.

The sole source for allegations that have spread like fleas on a barnyard dog is a South Carolina blog written by a guy who worked for the online news site of a Columbia TV station.

Conservative media call for help in Wisconsin government worker fracas

In the video featured at Frontline Wisconsin, a labor leader calls for things to “get a little bloody” after Wisconsin conservatives attempted to rein in state spending. Consequently conservatives, including the governor, have received death threats. [Screen snip of video]Conservative media site Red State reported conservatives in Wisconsin are asking for help. Threats of recall elections are being made by labor activists who disagree with financial reform of pensions and perks for state and local workers.
