ObamaCare, the spawn of HillaryCare, and House Republicans

Updated on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 2:34PM by Registered CommenterKay B. Day, Editor

Mrs. Clinton's health plans in the 1990s spawned ObamaCare. Will Republican House leadership stick to their guns on defunding or derailing the massive Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act known as ObamaCare?

Isn’t the act really just the latest version of HillaryCare which Republicans and Democrats nixed during President Bill Clinton’s first term in the 1990s?

Mrs. Clinton poised to receive award from National Constitution Center despite trampling First Amendment

The National Constitution Center is a wondrous entity. On the one hand, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush chairs the board of trustees. On the other, the CEO sharply criticized Bush vs. Gore, the 2000 Supreme Court decision that had the effect of validating President George W. Bush’s presidential win.

Making the NCC even more wondrous is a decision to award former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton the center’s 2013 Liberty Medal.

On the front page of the NCC website are various blurbs about the U.S. Constitution, including the First Amendment.

With 2016 around the political corner, tabloid splays Clintons across the cover

The Clintons made the cover of the Aug. 12 edition of the nation's top tabloid. (Photo: The US Report)Will she or won’t she? That’s the question many in both parties are asking about a potential Hillary Clinton run for the presidency in 2016.

That year feels far away, but it’s not. Once the November, 2014 midterms are resolved, the presidential race will swing into high gear for any interested party.

One indicator is the Aug. 12 edition of The National Enquirer. I admit I never thought I’d cite or mention that publication when I was a young writer.

Human flood at border, giant trade deficit increase point to foreign policy failure with Mexico

Map: CIA World Fact BookWhat do you do when your border is flooded with people claiming they’re seeking asylum? What do you do when you’re supposed to be framing foreign policy in the best interests of America but then preside over a whopping U.S. trade deficit with NAFTA [North American Free Trade Agreement]? That deficit jumped a whopping 36.4 percent between the year President George W. Bush left office and President Barack Obama began his first term.

If you’re a politician, you probably don’t talk about such matters.

History be damned: Priebus draws leftwing fire for putting Dem media machine in perspective

The memes are false. There is election fraud and it is well documented.

If U.S. is pursuing Snowden, should we pursue Mrs. Clinton for Benghazi breach?

An explosive new report from Judicial Watch reveals information implicating government officials responsible for security failures in Benghazi.

At present President Barack Obama would likely be thrilled to get former NSA contractor Edward Snowden back. Fox News said Snowden will face charges of espionage and theft of government property.

There was another breach of classified information, in September, 2012, but Snowden had nothing to do with it.Those responsible for the breach have paid little or no penalty whatsoever.
