Congressman wants answers on fugitive set free by State Dept.

President Barack Obama wasn't kidding when he promised change, and his handling of illegal aliens has delivered. Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert (R) was astounded to learn Obama's State Dept. released a fugitive after local officers had detained him when they spotted his car missing a license plate.

Newt opens door for talk on illegal aliens, but 'heat' will surely follow

Photo of presidential candidate Newt Gingrich. (Newt Gingrich campaign.)Newt Gingrich opened the door for a discussion on illegal aliens during the Heritage-American Enterprise Institute debate on Tuesday. Gingrich managed to package a great deal of information in a short time block, but clarification on his positions will be a vital factor in determining whether he maintains his position as a GOP frontrunner in the presidential selection process.

Worker at nuke facility another straw man buster

Media insist that illegal aliens do the jobs Americans won't do. The standard media approach focuses on agricultural workers. The US Report has often pointed out American citizens and legal immigrants would take many of the jobs that go to illegals in hotel, landscaping, construction and other industries.

Add the nuclear industry to that list.

KVOA (Tucson, Ariz.) said an illegal was found working in Palo Verde Nuclear Plant, the largest in the nation. Presumably security there is tight.

Cruz Loya Alvares told law enforcement authorities he's lived in the U.S. illegally for about 15 years.

KVOA said, "He was detained and deported in 2000 but paid a coyote for re-entry into the U.S. And last month, Cruz admitted that in June 2011, Mesa Police cited him for driving with a suspended license...According to Sheriff Arpaio, Cruz tried to gain access to the Nuclear power plant on Monday but was denied entrance because his Mexican Driver's license was expired."

Cruz did get in, as a passenger in a contractor's vehicle. KVOA said he used an Arizona ID card.

The Center for Immigration Studies published figures from the US Dept. of Labor. The figures are sobering:

"Of the estimated 11.9 million illegal immigrants in the United States in 2009, 8.3 million illegal immigrants are believed to be in the civilian labor force (Passel and Cohn, 2009, p. iii). This means that illegal immigrants account for about 5.4 percent of the civilian labor force and 35.6 percent of the total foreign-born labor force. Moreover, these numbers are acknowledged to be conservative, with the “real” numbers and percentages being no doubt higher due to statistical undercount."

Media, Bush and Obama on Mexico’s page; Perry defends US sovereignty

Updated on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 11:19AM by Registered CommenterKay B. Day, Editor

Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama joined media in undermining US law by elevating international law in bizarre cases of murderers and rapists like Humberto Leal. For the second time, Texas Gov. Rick Perry wasn’t buying it. Why Americans should thank Perry for rising above hysterics attributed to the Vienna Convention but in fact related to advocacy for abolishing the death penalty.

LEAL’S CASE—COMPLICATED YET SIMPLE

Humberto Leal's photograph posted on the state of Texas web pages, Death Row inmates.
As the execution date for convicted rapist and murderer Humberto Leal approached, US media memed the federal government and Mexico’s talking points. Reporters at every network, even those perceived as conservative, bandied about the lofty sounding term ‘Vienna Convention.’ Some warned the U.S. would risk lives if Texas Gov. Rick Perry didn’t halt the execution.

Why do Mexico’s children seek US ‘social justice’?

2nd in a series on US border security and immigration

Border Patrol agents honor fellow agents killed in the line of duty. [Photo by US Border Patrol; May, 2010; Barry Bahler.] In the U.S., there’s a constant stream of foreign citizens pouring across the border as Mexico’s children seek social justice in the U.S. simply because there isn’t much justice at all in their own country. The government pegged the number of Mexican illegals in the U.S. at 6.5 million in 2010. The number is a best guess estimate because there’s no way to tell for sure.

The Government Accountability Office said there’s an average number of 8 arrests per “undocumented alien,” said Newsmax.

Neal Boortz on re-electing Obama

Boortz was on Fox News Friday, Asked about re-electing President Barack Obama, the Libertarian pundit said, “If people re-elect Obama, it’d be like strapping on an economic suicide vest and giving the detonator to your ex-wife.”

Liberals still pushing class warfare

Liberals appear to be obsessed with the Joneses. Not keeping up with them—gouging them. Gallup announced 71 percent of Democrats are in favor of redistributing wealth by taxing the rich despite the fact their party is headed by some of the richest members of Congress and it’s funded by some of the world’s richest (mostly) men.

Liberals push war on women too

The Democrats’ national Party chair is confused over which party’s policies are anti-woman (anti-family too).

In Texas, illegal kills police officer

Texas media apparently still i.d. foreign nationals who commit crimes. The federal government calls people like Johoan Rodriguez illegal aliens. Whatever he is, he got a free US education and worked a construction job (there must be no American men in the area willing to work in construction, right?). Rodriguez faces a slew of charges after he [allegedly] drove through a police barricade and killed a Houston police officer. A blogger at Red State said Democrats in the legislature killed a bill banning sanctuary cities. The Obama administration tolerates that overturn of federal law.  The police officer left behind a pregnant wife and two children. Rodriguez, by the way had a substantial record and had been deported several times.

As Israel defies Obama, Newsmax takes on his other border issue

When Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the joint session of Congress on Tuesday, those who saw the broadcast were able to see a real statesman in action. That quality has been missing from top US leadership for quite some time. Netanyahu effectively turned aside President Barack Obama’s wish for Israel to return to the unviable 1967 borders, and the prime minister’s position is one most Americans understand. Israel could not sustain herself if a massive influx of people entered the country.

Obama appeared to be unconcerned about the impact of those potential refugees on Israel had his call for the 1967 borders been taken seriously by anyone outside leftwing policy wonk circles.

But Israel’s border issue isn’t the only one Obama failed to grasp, and that fact is glaringly obvious in the June, 2011, print issue of Newsmax.
