Pelosi has flyover moment, misses billions and billions in potential spending cuts

Pelosi, 2009. (Frame grab/Fox News)Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) had one of those moments she’s famous for when she said this in an interview with CNN:

“The cupboard is bare. There’s no more cuts to make. It’s really important that people understand that.”

Pelosi should go blogger on us, and spend some time fishing through reports on government and watchdog websites. There’s ample room to cut and it’s so simple even a Pelosi could do it.

How will Obama and Pelosi reconcile with Code Pink?

This photo of Pelosi and Sheehan was snipped from Pelosi's website in 2010 although it was taken earlier. (Snip: Pelosi government website)How will President Barack Obama and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) explain their newfound penchant for war to their supporters at Code Pink?

On war, Kerry accused Bush of ‘blustering unilateralism’ while Pelosi voted against Iraq

Columnist Mona Charen cited Kerry's remarks about Iraq in Feb., 2003. (Snip: Herald-Journal). What a difference near-absolute power makes. President Barack Obama’s secretary of state John Kerry just made the case for military action against Syria while Democrats’ minority leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi lobbied for the same.

For the Democrats, the narrative wanders from humanitarian grounds to national security issues.

Pelosi muddles Constitution, goes partisan on ‘anti-government’ ideology

Pelosi attempts to cite the Constitution, Video at Breitbart. (Screen snip from video)Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), no doubt aching to get the House speaker gavel back in her hands, often amuses political observers in the same way Vice President Joe Biden does. Pelosi’s presser on Thursday was no exception.

Once again she skewed the U.S. Constitution, the contract all members of Congress vow to uphold. So does the president, but with this administration, that promise has apparently been waived just like ObamaCare Tax Bill requirements for a number of union groups.

Treasury Sec. Geithner’s confession upends Pelosi’s Bush-bashing presser

This video features a young Barack Obama and others confirming banks were forced to make risky loans that came to be called “Ninja Loans”—no income, no job, no assets required. (Video: YouTube)

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) held a presser on Thursday, blaming President George W. Bush for the troubled U.S. economy. Pelosi told media Republicans want to return the country to policies that caused the “trouble in the first place,” and President Barack Obama wants to take the economy “forward.”

Pelosi actually could have blamed President Franklin D. Roosevelt, but what’s interesting in the present is that her Bush-bashing presser is upended by  a confession from Obama’s Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner when he testified before Congress.

For your amusement, some facts that fly in the face of Pelosi’s purely political statements:

Robin Hood’s revenge: How Obama and Democrats helped Scott Walker win

Video from Scott Walker's campaign site. (Screen snip)There’s a message for President Barack Obama and the Democrats in Gov. Scott Walker’s recall win in Wisconsin on Tuesday. Obama and his party played an indirect role in Walker’s victory.

In fact, Robin Hood extracted revenge on Tuesday, although the thought probably hasn’t occurred to Dems or Republicans.

Big media FAIL: Pelosi’s Fluke fluke

Sandra Fluke was introduced by Pelosi as a "passionate leader for young women, and all women" at the hearing Democrats held.(Screen Snip/C-Span video)The Left went big time crazy when conservative king of satire Rush Limbaugh posed a question asking if Sandra Fluke was a slut (since she wanted public funding for her birth control) and if that made him a pimp (since taxpayers would pay for the funding).

The door to controversy was actually blasted open by Democrats in the House.

Putting Pelosi’s video on South in context

Updated on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 1:00PM by Registered CommenterKay B. Day, Editor

Alexandra Pelosi traveled to Mississippi and talked to some of the state’s male residents for a political video.  Pelosi appears to have concentrated on rural or small-town residents, but no geographic locations are pinpointed other than the state. A scandalized evangelical preacher, the homeless and President George W. Bush have all been subjects of Pelosi’s previous films.

The Daily Caller featured Pelosi’s video after it aired on Bill Maher’s political satire show on HBO. Maher made the predictable jokes about the South—standard fare for political class elitists who on the one hand embrace a philosophy of victimology and on the other despise the very people they profess they want to help.

Obviously, Washington is terrified.

I didn’t even have to look. As I switched on the computer this morning, I knew exactly what the header on Drudge would be.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) phrased her words carefully, but she still set herself up.
