Juvie Joe gets his game on, makes history for snarky

Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan met Vice President Joe Biden in Kentucky for what at times felt like a hoedown. For anyone above the Mason-Dixon line, that is a redneck gathering and I have enjoyed more than one.

I'd call the debate a match although Ryan deserves a medal for engaging a politico who acted like a child in a format that seemed to be no format at all for anyone but Ryan.

Biden said quite a few things that should be assailed by fact checkers of all ilk--starting with his fiction about Libya. Biden's claims contradicted testimony given before Congress yesterday on Wednesday.

Reaganesque: Paul Ryan gets white hot reception at RNC

The Republican National Convention hit its stride on Wednesday night when GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan spoke. It was impossible to ignore the potential in a young man who, in my opinion with that speech, established a visceral connection with the American people.

‘Medi-Scare’ works for Democrats who also targeted Medicare

Updated on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 11:58AM by Registered CommenterKay B. Day, Editor

Bloggers and readers are engaged in a shouting match at present over Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan’s ‘Path to Prosperity’ and Democrats’ refusal to pass a budget. “Medi-Scare” tactics—denigrating Ryan’s plan for the benefit of Democrats’ political gain—have even been blamed for the GOP loss in a special congressional election in New York. Never mind the fake Tea Party candidate who was actually a Democrat. Most pundits say that faker helped swing the election to the Democrat. Read about the New York candidate’s real political colors at Red State.

What’s worrisome is the propaganda being spewed, and in some cases, the outright advocacy to maintain the status quo in a program that will change whether Ryan’s plan were to be adopted anyway. Fact is the Democrats’ healthcare plan targeted Medicare too.
