Becerra does C-Span, but clueless on economy ‘obstructionists’

Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-Calif.), vice-chair of the Democrat Caucus and member of the president’s debt commission (also called the fiscal commission), did a stint on C-Span on Thursday. Becerra also sits on the powerful Ways and Means Committee. As he talked about President Barack Obama’s hopes for a green economy, he turned to a major platform for Democrats—blame it all on Bush. 

Becerra suggested Obama’s goals are stymied because of Republican ‘obstructionists’ in the Senate. As he theorized about why the economy isn’t getting better, his positions are a key indicator of the real obstructionists to the economy—Democrats.

Professor Bill Black uses the 'F' word Washington ignores on meltdown

Bill Black's book about the savings and loan scandal in the 1980s is cited as one of Bill Moyers' favorites.*In an earlier column I covered testimony presented to Congress by Professor Bill Black, Associate Professor of Economics and Law at the University of Missouri—Kansas. Black appeared on Bill Moyers’ Journal program on PBS on April 23. Moyers described Black in a teaser announcing the program: “As a federal regulator many years ago Bill Black helped put in jail a lot of culprits involved in the costly savings and loan scandal of the 1980s.”

So far, Prof. Black is the only expert I've seen brave enough to use the 'F' word, 'Fraud.'
