Abandonment of 1st Amendment should be vote killer for Democrats

Abandoning the First Amendment is like placing a gag on the mouth of every American. [Photo: The US Report]The dust may have somewhat settled after initial reactions to the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya where 4 Americans were killed. The dust has yet to settle on the most important political issue, other than questions about security standards.

Courtesy of The New York Times, statements by both Sec. of State Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama should have been met with aggressive rebuttals across the land. Why?

US leadership lapse in quran burning

Many of us in the U.S., regardless of our faith, viewed with despair the Quran-burning pastor’s actions —we knew innocents would likely die. President Barack Obama and others have spoken about the pastor, in the fall when he first threatened the burning and recently after he carried through with it.

There is however a lapse in US leadership regarding appropriate responses to the burning. The lapse creates a dangerous window that should concern all Americans.
