Is a class action lawsuit warranted as Dems burn millions, aim to hike taxes?

The U.S. Air Force estimates a cost of $181,757 per flight hour for Air Force One. What did Obama’s recent long travel-heavy campaign cost taxpayers? (Photo: The White House)I realize Democrats control most of U.S. media and that’s one reason the public is sorely uninformed about this party’s scandals and shortcomings. The current climate defies reality.

President Barack Obama is obsessed with tax hikes, targeting upper middle class households whose income hits $250,000 a year. If you tend to be the jealous type, you may be happy to see your successful neighbor pay more in taxes. Your happy moment won’t last long, however, once you begin to feel the impact along with your fellow Americans. When tax hikes are levied on a weak economy, everyone pays regardless of what neoliberals tell you.

As Obama and the Democrats plan additional looting of the private sector, they’re burning millions of taxpayer dollars.

Is Durbin’s sweet prison deal another Democrat gift to labor unions?

Rarely has a president requested an earmark, but President Barack Obama was a big earmarker when he served briefly in the U.S. Senate. Perhaps old habits die hard. Perhaps Obama has fond memories of that $740 million in earmark requests he either sponsored or co-sponsored before he moved to the Oval Office.

Now the Obama administration is purchasing a dud prison in Illinois, home of longtime power broker and big earmarker Dick Durbin (D-Ill.)—$165 million taxpayer bucks will go directly to Durbin and Obama’s official state of residence for Thomson Correctional Facility.

What's the real angle on that prison purchase?

Durbin gets agitated at question from Baier about ‘God’ and platform

Democrats belabored the Republican Party platform during the GOP convention in Tampa, and turnabout is fair play. Well, it's fair play unless you're a Democrat.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) apparently doesn’t appreciate the challenge.

In an interview on Tuesday, Durbin became extremely agitated as he accused a veteran journalist of bias although the journalist had asked a simple question.

Sen. Durbin claims local transportation in Chicago should be ‘national priority’

Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) crowed about shuttling $256 million in federal funds to Chicago for local transportation projects.  Durbin’s remarks were included in an official statement from Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s office about a $1 billion “Rehabilitation of the City’s Busiest Train Line.”

Durbin said, “The federal government is helping CTA make desperately needed improvements to the Red Line because time and again we've argued that mass transit in Chicago should be a national priority.”

The release from the Democrat mayor’s office praises the funding for “creating the opportunity for Chicagoans to move around the city and get to and from work with ease.”

Democrat 'DREAM': Amnesty redux an affront to immigrants, citizens

Updated on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 10:20AM by Registered CommenterKay B. Day, Editor

Dick Durbin put forth platitudes on Tuesday to justify his push for the latest attempt at amnesty—another go at the DREAM Act. The latest DREAM act offers incentives to, as Fox News wrote, “allow young undocumented immigrants temporary and ultimately permanent residency, improving the nation’s economic and security status.”

If you believe our economy and security will benefit, you’re sadly misinformed about our economy and security.
