Senator and doctor Barrasso: Obamacare bad for patients, terrible for taxpayers

Sen. Barrasso; photo from Senate websiteSen. John Barrasso, M.D. (R-Wyo.) spoke to Fox News on Wednesday as his colleague Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was in the final stretch of his not-a-filibuster speech about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Barrasso said there are “big problems ahead” in implementing Obamacare. He said Congress should keep government open, but he will not vote to fund the law Democrats passed.

The Wyoming Republican said there are still 20 taxes in Obamacare even if the bill is defunded. He said, “We need to repeal it and replace it with patient-centered care…affordable quality care.”

Sen. Rand Paul: ‘Cruz has started a rebellion against coercion’

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) set a youthful, determined stance in comparison to the ageing GOP Old Guard. Still standing on the U.S. Senate floor after starting his not-a-filibuster speech on Tuesday, and still articulate and  energetic, Cruz fielded questions laden with remarks from fellow senators. He even brought up the Star Wars films, saying, “This is a fight to get the empire to listen to the people.”

Sen. Cruz, you were warned: El Rushbo crashes ‘Don’t Fund Obamacare’ website

Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) is one of a dedicated group in the U.S. Senate seeking to defund the socialization of U.S. healthcare. If you think ‘socialization’ is too strong a word, go read the bill. Ultimately, if passed, ObamaCare (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) will lead directly to single pay medical care for all but the wealthiest Americans.

Cruz was on the Rush Limbaugh show on Wednesday around 2:15 p.m. (EDT), and he told the man popularly known as El Rushbo about the website.

Limbaugh warned Cruz that mentioning it on the show, the nation’s top radio talk show, would likely crash the site.

Washington Post, home of ‘Journolist’, botches criticism of Cruz on ObamaCare, alien workers

Legacy media can't stop Sen. Cruz from telling Americans the truth about the new immigration bill S. 744. (Snip: Twitter)Nothing The Washington Post does on behalf of the Democrat Party surprises. After all the paper birthed the notorious ‘Journolist’ group featuring media, academics and strategists who collaborated on electing a Democrat president in 2008. As if that wasn’t enough, WaPo then proceeded to attempt to hold an event at the publisher's house that basically would have dished up access to cabinet officials as long as a lobbyist was willing to pay. The event would have been "off the record," of course.

Now The Post is running defense for the Obama administration again, seizing a reason (any reason) to criticize Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz. It started with a Tweet.
