What does it mean when the chief of CBS shows up at an Obama fundraiser?

Poster title translates from Cyrillic as “We will annihilate kulaks as a class.” Published around 1930, the message promoted collectivization and opposition to Kulaks, self-sufficient peasants. By 1932, famine had set in in areas like Ukraine, formerly the most productive area of the Soviet Union.[Poster from digital collection, U.S. Library of Congress]

Les Moonves, CEO of CBS, has done what few others in media will do. Moonves was at a fundraiser for President Barack Obama on Thursday and he admitted what he could not deny because of, for one thing, the fact he was at an Obama fundraiser.

Wasserman-Shultz refuses comment on Hoffa’s extreme rhetoric

Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (Fla.) appeared on Fox and Friends Tuesday and she refused to comment about Teamster Union boss Jimmy Hoffa’s extreme rhetoric at a fundraiser for President Barack Obama. Wasserman-Schultz is head of the Democratic National Committee.

Hoffa made the controversial remarks ahead of Obama’s address in Detroit. The scion of a teamster family said, “President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let’s take these son of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong.” Hoffa’s hate speech appeared to be directed at the Tea Party movement.

The Lone Star Flag was adopted by the Texas Congress in 1839. (Graphic from State of Texas)What a difference a candidate makes, right? At the moment one candidate has sparked an explosion of experts on a single topic—the Texas economy.

Texas has solid job numbers, as a painstakingly crafted article at the blog Political Math explains.

The U.S. overall has pathetic job numbers despite hundreds of billions of current and future taxpayer dollars spent in an effort to create jobs.

You’d think media would praise the Texas numbers, wouldn’t you? All we’ve heard from media since the first time President Barack Obama took to a national stage ahead of the 20008 General Election is jobs.

‘Terrorists’ want feds to cut spending, balance budget

Sen. Al Franken's placard omitted a necessary comma.Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) turned to drama to get his point across in the debt debate. On Wednesday, Franken brought visual aids to the floor for his speech.

One placard read, “Welcome [sic] Terrorists.” No one cared that technically, without the comma, the placard made little sense. Socialists and their fellow progressives were just happy to see another insult leveled at those in Congress who have read the writing on the fiscal wall and know something must be done.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Fla.), who also heads up the Democratic National Committee, can also be counted on for unrestrained language, otherwise known as shooting her mouth off.
