Obama administration burns taxpayer greenbacks on energy

Green energy has long been a pet cause for President Barack Obama and the Democrats, and the Photo funded by U.S. taxpayers; Dept. of Energyadministration has rolled tons of taxpayer dollars into that business sector. No energy is truly green, but that’s a quibble for another blog day.

Now we’re learning there’s a whopping price tag for those jobs the president praises. The Institute for Energy Research pointed out:

[F]or the over $26 billion spent since 2009, DOE Section 1703 and 1705 loan guarantees have created only 2,298 permanent jobs for a cost of over $11.45 million per job.

In 2008 the president promised to create 5,000,000 green jobs.

Tea partiers vindicated by federal government’s excesses

President Barack Obama promised to fix the economy in every campaign speech he made in 2008. 'Hope and change' evaporated. (Screen snip The US Report)“It’s clear that there is no path to compromise that goes through the tea party. We urge Speaker Boehner to push ahead without them. We are ready to work with him if he is willing to buck the extreme element of his party.”—Sen. Chuck Schumer  to Associated Press, March, 2011

From the moment the grassroots tea party movement began to sweep the nation, tea partiers were maligned, defamed and attacked by most of media who advocate for the Left and by many politicians, mostly Democrats.

Those who formed local groups had some things in common. They wanted a smaller, more efficient government. They did not want tax increases. In general, they wanted a lesser role in their daily lives for the federal government. These aspirations were refueled on multiple occasions, including the government’s takeover of healthcare via a backdoor bill most Democrats admitted they didn’t even read.

Rarely have we witnessed such excesses and scandals in our government.

Ten executive targets Wall Street protesters could march to

Photo: US GovernmentI don’t like protesters going into neighborhoods and I really don’t like them going to homes. However, the Wall Street protesters have decided to target some executives’ homes and I came up with a list of potential “corruptees.”

Here are my ten suggestions for the Wall Street protesters and my reasons each target is on the list:

Once again indie blog scoops Big Media

Had to share this with my readers.

Now making the rounds: another crony energy loan to a failing company. How many of these energy cronies does President Barack Obama have?

The US Report raised concerns on Oct. 4 about the new loan (similar to the Solyndra deal) to SunPower

TUSR operates on a shoe string so short you couldn't tie it if you wanted to. Big Media has actual resources, but they're asleep at the wheel.

Not to worry--we'll keep watching Washington and we'll tell you about it here. This isn't the first time we scooped the big boys and it won't be the last.

Is new $1.2 billion DOE loan another 'good bet' like Solyndra?

Solar Panels (from US Dept. of Energy)President Barack Obama chatted with George Stephanopoulos (ABC) on Monday. Obama responded to a couple questions on the issue of Solyndra, the solar company his administration loaned $528 million.

Obama said, "Hindsight is always 20/20...It went through the regular review process and people felt this was a good bet."

So good, in fact, the administration is lending more for projects like Solyndra.
