Maybe the Buffett Rule will help GSA have another million dollar party

Ahead of scheduled fundraisers at $40,000 a plate, President Barack Obama showed up in Florida to call again for a tax he knows isn’t likely to pass—the Buffett Rule or the Millionaires’ Tax, take your pick on the label.

Even if the president’s dream tax did pass, the revenue would do little to address the real issue Obama is blind to—government reform, excessive spending and the degenerate level of ethics displayed by federal officials in charge of the General Services Administration.

GSA blew almost $1 million on a conference party. Meanwhile, talk to any company who tries to do business with the federal government. You’ll hear tales of red tape, ridiculous regulations and general frustration. Of course that climate sets up the perfect opportunity for corruption. Where’s a hearing when you need one?
